Celebrities Attend ‘The Lovely Bones’ Premiere

Rachel Weisz, Michael Imperioli, Brandon Routh, Rose McIver, Lea Thompson, Peter Jackson, Steven Spielberg, Saoirse Ronan, Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tucci attended the ‘The Lovely Bones’ premiere held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in LA last night. Guess Mark Wahlberg missed the red carpet? That’s odd considering he’s usually so great with promoting a film.

This movie looks really good and is based off a book that many of my friends have read and LOVED. Did you get a chance to read it? I’m borrowing it from a friend and going to try to get through it before seeing the film.

I’ve read the Lovely Bones and it is one of my FAVORITE books! I really recommend you read it Vera! Watching the trailer I thought that the movie looked great, definitely. But I’m worried that as the director of Lord of the Rings and the like, Peter Jackson will make the movie more fantasy then the book was (the book wasn’t at all). Like when Susie is in purgatory or whatever you would call it, her own little world. That’s the only thing that worries me but I will definitely see it.

I read the book awhile back. I cried the entire way through it. I dont think I will be able to sit to watch this movie. I think I will wait to watch it when it comes out just because of the nature of the movie. great book though!

It really was an amazing book. I’m not real sure about how this movie will come across – at least the part with her in the “in between” – it looked a little psychedelic in the previews. lol Rachel Weisz is so gorgeous. I’d leave my husband for that woman. lmao

I read the book when it first came out and cried my way through the whole thing. It was really really good. I hope the movie is just as good. I was mad when they changed the ending for My Sisters Keeper. I hope they don’t make any big changes like that for this one.
