Lindsay Lohan claims she has saved 40 lives since arriving in India. The ‘Mean Girls’ actress – who has been in the country since Wednesday to make a documentary about the trafficking of women and children for the BBC – says her work is already making a difference and is thrilled to see the impact it is having. She tweeted:

“Over 40 children saved so far… Within one day’s work. This is what life is about… Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!

“traffiking is a big issue here, I’m doing what I can, and I will continue to do so as long as life when time permits it (sic).”

Wow – can you imagine being part of a sting that saved over 40 children in one day? What a feeling!

Lindsay – who wants to remove herself from her partying lifestyle in Los Angeles – has also urged her fans and fellow stars to help vulnerable people all over the world.

“Keep telling people about what’s going on in all 2nd and 3rd world countries and people will want to help too.

“Focusing on celebrities and lies is so disconcerting, when we can be changing the world one child at a time. Hope everyone can see that.”

The 23-year-old star plans to continue her good deeds by teaming up with local hospitals to give toys to sick children. Nice to see this new Lindsay!

I don’t believe this. Lindsay’s people are trying to do damage control and its just not working. Lindsay it’s a little to late to try to fix your image. The damage is ALREADY done. No one cares anyway.

  2. Ellie says:

Oooo it’s Lindsay Lohan so it doesn’t matter about the kinds of good deeds she may or may not have done for others. It’s Lindsay, right?…so it doesn’t count. Pathetic.

  3. Scruffy says:

Sorry for being cynical, but what exactly did SHE do to save 40 children in one day???????

  4. Annie-Bananie says:

For having been to rural India 4 times, I cannot fathom she could stand the food, the smell, the heat, the poverty… Of course she’s in a hotel suite somewhere in Delhi with Evian water, her hairdresser and 30 suitcases of outrageously indecent clothes for the Indian culture. Makes me sick to the stomach.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

I highly doubt that she is saving anyone. She is probably sitting in a hotel lobby somewhere waiting for a drug connection, while twittering about the news headlines.

I hope this is true. She been a mess for quite some time now and maybe this will help her clean up her act.

“”traffiking is a big issue here, I’m doing what I can, and I will continue to do so as long as life when time permits it “ This makes no sense to me.
