This has to be one of the saddest (and bizarre) things I’ve seen. At least, lately. Pamela Bach, David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife and someone who was recently arrested for suspicion of DUI herself, has issued a public plea to David’s fans:
“The despair-feeling hopeless and unable to believe that things can ever change with David’s alcoholism over the years-has affected our whole family,” she says. “We want our lives to be different, but nothing we have done has brought about change.
“We ask David’s fans, supporters and handlers to take swift action to save this wonderful man’s life,” she says. “I have always been close to my daughters to comfort and support them as well as always being there for David. We will be forever hurt from this cruel disease. I am grateful for our two daughters, who have been incredibly brave, strong and protective souls.”
Hayley, one of David’s teenage daughters, called 911 right after Thanksgiving saying her father kept falling down when he stood up.
I feel TERRIBLE for David’s daughters. Both of their parents seems to be struggling mightily right now, and it has to be affecting them.
Do you think this is an honest attempt on Pamela’s part to get help for David or an effort to deflect attention from her own problems? Or maybe, sadly, both?

The other day I read that she too was an alcoholic and a pill popper. Perhaps she should try to help herself before she tries to help her ex.
Or perhaps they could both step away from the media circus and get the help that they need.
WTF? Okay Hasselhoffs, Lohans and Gosselins seriously need parenting classes. And stop talking to the press about your issues.
Pam was just busted on a DUI the other day. While I feel terribly for their children, she has no room to talk.
His 2 daughters are grown, so there’s no reason to treat them like there are going to be psychotic from their dad’s (and mom’s) drinking. and who cares?!?!?
This whole family needs to grow the fuck up.
You can’t tell someone what to do about alcoholism when you are an alcoholic.
She needs a good slap.

I don’t understand what she’s asking his “fans” to do???
He needs to get off TV and go away for a long while to get his act together. His agents, managers and handlers need to give him an ultimatum. I can’t watch anything he does.
