HBO Cancels 'The Flight Of The Conchords'

Sad news for fans of the quirky HBO comedy 'The Flight of the Conchords' - according to PopEater, it's been canceled. Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, the show's stars, posted on their website:
"The less we say about the future of the show, the more people want to talk about it. So in an effort to reverse this trend we are today announcing that we won't be returning for a third season."
It seems shocking since over the two seasons, this show was nominated for TEN Primetime Emmy awards!
I wasn't religiously watching this but I'd catch clips here and there and some of it was pretty funny. Were you a fan of the show? Did you think it'd be canceled so soon?

HBO didn't cancel it, it was Bret and Jermaines decision to end the show.

I'm pretty certain it wasn't cancelled. I don't think they ever said it'd return for a third season. The headline to this bugged me, so I felt compelled to correct you!
I agree. This headline irks me. HBO did not cancel the show. A few weeks ago Jemaine and Bret had said that they were not going to return to the show because it is so time consuming and a lot of work. It was definitely not canned.
Even if HBO didn't cancel it, it still makes me sad. I loved watching them, I own both seasons and finally have HBO added to my cable so I can watch new episodes...... :( :(
