Russell Brand was spotted ring-shopping at Cartier yesterday. (Unfortunately, I don’t have the rights to the pictures to show you, but you can see them here). He reportedly bought “a large, square-cut diamond set in a platinum band.”
Only days ago, the comedian said: ‘I’d love to marry Katy – hopefully it’s heading that way and I’m really happy.’
Russell said his meeting with Katy’s parents ultimately went well, despite their initial book exchange. He reportedly won them over by quoting Nelson Mandela and showing his “dedication” to Katy.
‘I’m doing well, you know, because I’m committed to it and they’re lovely, lovely people. It’s been nice,’ he said.
‘Obviously when I heard that my girlfriend had preacher parents, I thought well this has got a huge scope for disaster, but it’s actually been quite good so far.’
Well, if Russell actually got Katy’s parents’ approval, then maybe a proposal doesn’t seem so far-fetched- LOL.
And let’s just hope Katy doesn’t hear about this or see these pictures (talk about ruining a special moment)!.

I’m disappointed in them. I thought we’d get to watch them have this insanely fun relationship but it’s been boring since the beginning. Go ahead, get married, have kids, lead a boring life. I’ll have to find someone else to live vicariously through.
