Tom Brady And Gisele Bundchen Still Haven’t Settled On Baby Name

It’s been almost a week since Gisele Bunchen gave birth to her baby boy but husband, Tom Brady, says they still don’t have a name for him yet. He says they had a named picked out but Gisele changed her mind at the last minute.

“It’s kind of back to the drawing board,” Brady, 32, said in an interview on WEEI Sports Radio. “We thought we had a name picked out for about six months and then about two days before he was born she said, ‘I don’t like that name anymore.’”

Since Tom had to return to work rather fast, the two haven’t had a good chunk of time to really hash out the names yet.

“She makes all these decisions,” Brady joked, adding, “I haven’t been home all week. We have about seven or eight choices. I have got to be home for more than just two-three hours so we can talk about it.”

He does have a few guidelines, however:

“It will probably be a traditional [name],” he says. And though he doesn’t mind choosing a Brazilian name, in honor of his wife’s heritage, “I certainly want a name that I can pronounce!”

I am really anxious to hear what these two finally decide on. I know a lot of people who have a name picked out and then after the birth, they feel it just doesn’t “fit” anymore. I’m sure whatever they decide on, it’ll be adorable. Can you imagine how adorable (and well-dressed) this child is going to be?

Yes sometimes those gene pools don’t do too well together. From experience and from stories my friends have told me about their husbands and choosing names–men can be clueless as to how that name is going to affect the child as it ages. My ex had Fleetwood Mac songs for girls names, or combinations of the Beatles members names for a boy.

well…I can totally understand! When I was in labor in august, we were still talking names! We finally decided like an hour before birth. It is so hard to find a boy name that we liked and to fit out international family! So I can relate…

just because tom and gisele are the parents doesn’t mean the kid is going to be insanely good looking or whatever. you never know how kids will turn out (looks-wise) based only on the parents features. thats like saying ugly people only have ugly kids, which isn’t always the case.

The child will be as cute as a button.

“Can you imagine how adorable (and well-dressed) this child is going to be?” You can’t predetermine what a child will look like based on his/her parents. I’ve seen gorgeous people have ugly children and ugly people have gorgeous children.

Oh god, this is the biggest problem for my husband and I. I’m almost 5 months pregnant and we are doing it for the second time again, We went thru this 10 years ago with our fist child. Not knowing what to name the baby. Friends and families are asking us what names we have picked out. Is fustrating, because i’m spanish and his Jewish, so we want to pick a name that both families can pronouce. with our first child we settled on Darwin.

On the other hand, since you don’t have a name picked out, it also means that people can’t criticize it prematurely. My husband and I pretended not to have names picked because we watched out pregnant co-workers being asked then bombarded with, “Oh. Are you sure? I just don’t think that’s a very nice name…”

I hate the people assume just because he’s a quarterback & she’s a model…that their kid is going to be “gorgeous”. Personally, I don’t find him attractive & she has a great body but face? Notsomuch.
