Scarlett Johansson And Liev Schreiber Talk To Time Out New York

Scarlett Johansson and Liev Schreiber sat down with Time Out New York to talk about their similarities and balancing work and family as they prepare to star in ‘A View from a Bridge’ on Broadway.

Although Scarlett and Liev didn’t know each other well before working together, they have some interesting similarities, like they’re both native New Yorkers, they both star in comic book movies, and…

Schreiber: And we’re both really, really hairy.
Johansson: That’s true.
Schreiber: We’re both half a Jew.
Johansson: Mustard or ketchup?
Both in unison: Mustard. [Laughs]
Johansson: Okay, you’re right, we do have a lot in common.

LOL! When it comes to balancing work and family, each has their own strategies. For Scarlett, it’s about making sure you spend quality time together.

Going from one party to the next and surfing to find the right thing, and being in a taxicab when the clock strikes-I’m so over that stuff. At the ripe old age of 25. I have the most fun when I’m surrounded by people I love in one place that’s comfortable and we can hear each other. You can play card games, watch movies, I’m happy. So, you can find me at da club with a bottle full of bub is what I’m trying to say.

Liev’s kids keep him grounded.

It’s kind of amazing, actually: You go through all this stuff in rehearsal and you come home and they don’t give a crap; they just want your full attention. It’s been a total savior. [My two-and-a-half-year-old son] is like, “Daddeeeeee!” and he just wants to play. You dump the baggage right away and reconnect with all these human feelings. It’s such a good hit.

Yeah, kids don’t care about work drama in the slightest, do they? LOL

This will be Scarlett’s Broadway debut- how exciting!
