Taylor Swift is being lined up to play Supergirl. The ‘Love Story’ singer is reportedly the favorite of movie bosses desperate to bring the Girl of Steel back to the big screen, despite the original 1984 movie being a critical and box office flop.
“Hollywood is short of female heroes and the time is right for a new Supergirl.
“A number of young stars are being mentioned for the title role in a ‘Supergirl’ movie and possible TV spin-off and Taylor is top of that list. She has all the right elements to be a positive role model to young girls.”
The 20-year-old star – who will make her feature film acting debut as Samantha Kenny in the film ‘Valentines Day’ next year – recently showed off her performance skills as a guest on ‘Saturday Night Live’.

Yes I would go for Taylor in the role. Needs a really good director and producer though. Cutting edge CGI. And a guest appearance of Tom Welling as Superman.

Taylor Swift has always been one of my favorite artists. Her song love story was always on my top list. The news that she might be starring in Super Girl came out recently. Taylor Swift is a good singer. We have to wait and see how much she stands up in the acting arena. Of course she might not have the Oscar winning talent within her (Still arguable) but I am very positive that she has all what it takes to lead the role in Super girl and I wish my Swift good luck!

supergirl movie was kinda bad…so it’d be interesting to see a new take. BUT not taylor. saw her acting on csi and snl and it wasn’t great, imo. but she does have the height and the hair for it!
