Daryl Hannah wants everyone to ditch plastic cups.
The 49-year-old actress and environmental activist said she wants the world to become more aware of the environment and believes it only takes some small changes to make a difference.
“There are so many things that everybody can do. Am I going to get some food in a Styrofoam container? Or am I going to bring my own cup and my own cutlery set and say I won’t participate in a disposable society?”
The ‘Kill Bill’ star is so passionate about the environment that she runs her car on vegetable fat, is a vegan, powers her home with huge solar panels and doesn’t use the main electricity grid.
Daryl said she was positive about the future and hoped that in time, more people would take up her advice. She said in an interview with The Sun newspaper:
“I sense that youth culture has taken up the call. Almost everybody could grow seeds in their garden or on their window. All that stuff that poisons the air, the soil and the water – it should be against the fricking law!”
Society has certainly shifted to be more green over the last few years. Have you felt the need to do your part? While I probably would never bring my own Tupperware to a restaurant, I do use enviro-bags when I go grocery shopping. It isn’t much, but I feel like I am cutting down on my plastic bag usage.

I very much agree with Daryl Hannah. If famous celebrities like her gets involved in environmental activities then I am sure the world will at least try to some extent. Yes we may not be able to completely eradicate pollution causing or such anti-environmental factors but still we can do every bit from our part to preserve the nature. That’s what she says and does. If a Kill Bill star like her considers it then why shouldn’t we do the same?

Perhaps YOU should do your homework. Daryl Hannah was in fact in Kill Bill, not just Volume 1, but also in Volume 2. For the latter she won an award for best supporting actress.
I do what I can, but I know I can always do more. I like meat and I like leather, won’t give that up.
Just a few years ago she took part in a stupid speed care race throughout Europe. That`s not my idea of saving the planet.
