Showtime is gearing up for yet another great new show. Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy and Allison Janney have been tapped to star in the drama “Shameless”.
“Shameless” revolves around the Gallaghers, a working-class Chicago clan dealing with the recession. The mother is AWOL, and the alcoholic patriarch (Macy) usually ends up passed out on the living room floor, so their smart but unpredictable 18-year-old daughter Fiona (Rossum) is tasked with keeping her five younger brothers and sisters on the straight and narrow.
Allison Janney (“Juno”) will play a love interest to William H. Macy’s character. Also set to star is Justin Chatwin (“War of the Worlds”), who will play a car thief who falls for Emmy’s character.

The story must be very interesting. As for me I like to watch or to read about people who overcame hardships. I’m fond of biographies, I always find such movies or books. They inspire me a lot.

another americanized screwed-up tv series. leave the great ones alone. if they like shameless so much they should watch the original one. hope this gets dropped
This is so cool, I love their casting! Great actors and actresses put together in one cup. I will surely watch it.
NO NO NO NO NO America get your own ideas. Shameless is one the best shows on Brittish TV, James McAvoy was in it and was fabby, met his wife on it too.
Ugh. I am dreading this. I am a huge fan of Shameless and I don’t see how it will do well here.
The only show I can think of that did well was The Office, but I still prefer the BBC version.

British Shameless is so much better wrong actors wrong actresses this will be a flop. The original Shameless is so much better how about we put Real shameless on showtime.
Oh my word..why do americans think that they can take a wonderful, brillant show like Shameless and bring it to the american screen…no, no, no..case in point The Office which the american version to me sucks, Couples, another american flop…this show will so tank.
