A “family pal” (although you have to wonder what kind of pal would talk to a tabloid) told Us Weekly that Beyonce’s parents’ split was a long time coming.
“It’s a rough time for the family — especially over the holidays,” the source tells Us. “The kids are sad, but it’s been unraveling for some time.”
This source said Tina and Matthew Knowles “drifted apart” and were leading “separate, busy lives,” but they are trying to keep things friendly.
The source blamed the rift on that rather than infidelity. (I wonder if the source is friendly with Matthew?)
Tina apparently filed for divorce last month. Talk about keeping things quiet! The news only broke just yesterday. At least the Knowles family has had time to deal with this privately.
