Alicia Silverstone hopes Brittany Murphy is “at peace” following her tragic death yesterday. Not that you need a reminder, but Alicia starred in ‘Clueless’ with Brittany and says while they “didn’t stay in close touch over the years” she’ll always feel love for her.

“I always felt connected to her as we shared a very special experience in our lives together. I feel love in my heart for her – and hope she is at peace. This is truly sad.

“I loved working with Brittany. She was so talented, so warm and so sweet.”

Another one of Brittany’s co-stars, Mena Suvari, paid tribute to her after getting to know her when they worked on 2002 film ‘Spun’. She tweeted:

“I’m just sooo devastated now. Found out Brittany Murphy died earlier this morning + I’m shocked. We worked together + I knew her for yrs.

“And ALL my love to her family and friends. May God be with you in this difficult time. “

Lindsay Lohan also posted a message after the sad news broke.

“My deepest condonlences (sic) go out to all of Brittany Murphy’s loved ones, may she rest in peace… She was a great talent w/a beautiful soul xo.”

It seems that everyone is just SHOCKED about this one. She was so young. Everyone in my generation absolutely adored ‘Clueless’ which connects us to Brittany even thought she was selective about making future films. I still can’t believe it.

Why would it not be her “generation”?? You do realize the film came out in 1995, right? If your in your early 20′s you probably would have been in Elementary!

She’s been in some great films, obviously including clueless which is the ultimate chick flick and was a film I would watch over and over again back in the day. She’s also in riding in cars with boys which is an adorable film and one of my favs.
    Life can be so tragic!
    RIP
