Watch Kristen Stewart In ‘The Yellow Handkerchief’

Here’s a clip of one of Kristen Stewart’s non-‘Twilight’ films, ‘The Yellow Handkerchief.’ It also stars William Hurt and Maria Bello. The film was released in Japan but has not gotten a release date in the US yet.

This is what the movie’s about:

A road trip through Louisiana transforms three strangers who were originally brought together by their respective feelings of loneliness.

Check out this clip:

Kristen with just a hint of a southern accent :) It’s an impressive cast. Is this something you’d want to see if it gets a US release?

  1. Kristin F says:

The accent wasn’t bad. There are hundreds of Southern accents. In fact, every single Southern accent is unique. Hers is just fine.

That did not sound like a southern accent to me. It sounded like a British accents meets and Australian accent. Terrible.

Shoshana you are untalented for not seeing Krsiten talnet. I absolutley love her acting.
I so her in The Cake Eater, Speak and Twilght, she is amazing, very talented
    :)

  6. Jayn says:

Yes, there are “hundreds” of Southern accents. That isn’t one of them.

The exact same acting as in Twilight. The monotone voice, blinking, loud sighing etc.
She acts based on a formula and that’s she self.

I kind of have to agree. I saw Adventureland and she played that character the same way she plays the Bella character. Now, I thought she did really good in The Messengers and Into the Wild so I will still give her the benefit of a doubt.

i thought we already saw this trailer… unless its different and i didnt notice.

Also did anyone else see her in Cake Eaters?

  11. CapturingLife says:

I saw that. It was pretty good. She was really great in the movie “Speak”. I’m crossing my fingers that she’ll do good in The Runaways.

I think it’s going to be released 2/12/10. That is what my onDemand says.

She plays different versions of herself. She even admittd it in an interview. She’s convinced that actors who play intirely different characters than themselves are psychotic.
This girl obviously doens’t know what that means.
She should ask method actors like DeNiro or Meryl Streep if they’re psychotic.

She’s not that bad lol, give her a break.

I’d imagine it must be kind of hard to immerse yourself in a character when you have such a crazy, publicised life as Kristen does lately. Actors like DeNiro and Meryl Streep live in privacy and aren’t hounded by the media, probably making it a lot easier for them to prepare themselves for a role. And because they are rarely seen by the public, audiences are better able to believe the characters that they portray.

Before the whole Twilight thing, Kristen was excellent in Panic Room as well as Speak. She was also really good in In The Land Of Women – love that movie!

I’d bet my money that in 10 years or so, Kristen will be a well respected actor.

  15. Scruffy says:

She always looks wasted on something….

  16. Shoshana says:

    She is very untalented!!!!!!!

  17. audrey says:

There was absolutely nothing in that clip that would make me want to see this movie.

  18. Anonymous says:

Neither one acted very well in that clip. It was just a boring clip and Kristen should never do a southern accent. It was horrible.

  19. catsup says:

i want to like her, and i do, but her acting no so good.

  20. kimmytoo says:

your right, i thought speak was some of her best work.
