Just when we thought she would gain full control…Britney Spears’ conservatorship has been extended.
The ‘Toxic’ singer’s father Jamie Spears – who was made co-conservator of her personal and professional affairs after her public breakdown in 2008 – will remain in control of her life, a judge has ruled.
Although it is not known how long the conservatorship will remain in place, lawyers involved in the case expect it to last between six and 12 months.
Under the ruling, Britney will pay Jamie $16,000-a-month, while his co-conservator, lawyer Andrew Wallet, received $174,569.10 for his services between July 2009 and November 2009.

Oh he’s teaching her financial responsibility alright! He’s teaching her how to make millions and support many. Wonder what al those poor bi-polar people do? It’s pathetic.
It behooves all the people making decisions for her to keep it that way. This is a major conflict of interest! Why would they want to give her back her control of her own life? They don’t make any money that way.
I really hope this girl is able to get her life to a place where she’s happy and in control.

I agree. Why is he supposed to take care of the grandkids? She’s been a cash cow for years, I hope he’s teaching her some financial responsibility, as SHE has children to take care of.
Although Britney has come leaps and bounds from where she use to be, I cannot help but feel bad for her. 28 years old and not able to make any sort of decision in the way your life will be lived. I honestly think she needs a break from everything, and enjoy being a mom. I cannot imagine the pressure from the whole ‘Britney Team’ is placing on her to become bigger and better than what she when she was in her prime. Life isn’t about fame and fortune, it’s about being happy. She looks miserable.
It’s probably for the best, she still doesn’t look quite right.

I think this is really a good thing for her. She’s obviously still not right in the mind. But it’s strange that Britney’s Dad gets SO Much money to take care of her. If he’s her father shouldn’t he be doing that already?
Of course she’s paying him large sums of money. It’s not like he can go out and get a job, when his full-time gig is keeping her alive. What is a life worth? Because, seriously, she would be dead by now if it weren’t for him taking over.
I think every time we see Britney out shopping or doing one of her coffee runs it is a probation to see how she can handle the stress of being out on her own. I don’t think she is fully recovered either, and has been pushed into touring to keep the cash flow coming in. She certainly doesn’t look very happy and seems to be missing some of her usual spark.
