Fact Or Fiction: Mary J. Blige Hit Her Husband During Argument

The NY Post Page Six claims Mary J. Blige and her husband, Kendu Isaacs, got into it after she spotted him flirting with a waitress at her record release party in club M2.

She turned to him and was screaming, ‘You’re not going to ruin my night,’ ” our witness says. “They got up in each other’s faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face.

“She was yelling at him, ‘What are you gonna do, Chris Brown me?’ Four of her bodyguards and two of the club’s kept them apart.”

Kendu reportedly was kicked out of the club while MJB went to the restroom to fix her hair before leaving herself. Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Busta Rhymes were still there.

Mary’s rep said:

“People lie and don’t know what they’re talking about.”

Hmmm… that doesn’t sound quite like a firm denial to me. I hope this isn’t true, because I think MJB’s been through enough and doesn’t need any more drama.

What do you think: fact or fiction?

Holla! Yet if he would have turned around and clocked her, then he would have been the bad guy.

  2. Chris says:

Why wasn’t she arrested for assault? Chris Brown was arrested for something similar. Or is it one law for men but a totally different law for women.

Surely this is a blatent case of Domestic Violence and the fact it was a woman punching a man does not make it any less of a crime.

I once stupidly slapped my boyfriend across the face. So ashamed and so horrible — i’ll never do it again.

  4. Linda123 says:

I don’t see how the rep’s statement isn’t a denile considering she said the story was a lie. Also these release parties are filled with reporters and cameras. How is it possible only one outlet has this story?

  5. switchstance5 says:

Domestic violence is never the option…even for women attacking men.
