Scarlett Johansson Shares Her New Year’s Eve Plans

Scarlett Johansson will spend New Year’s Eve eating pizza and watching ‘The Twilight Zone’. Sounds like my kind of party.

The 25-year-old actress – who is married to Ryan Reynolds – will see in 2010 with take away, champagne and a marathon viewing session of the cult show because of work commitments.

“We’re both working on New Year’s Day anyway. So, we won’t do much. You know, pizza would be nice, a little champagne. Maybe watch the ‘Twilight Zone’ marathon. That’s always a favorite for me.”

Scarlett says she is “over” big celebratory parties and much prefers a quiet night in these days.

“Going from one party to the next and surfing to find the right thing, and being in a taxicab when the clock strikes – I’m so over that stuff. At the ripe old age of 25. I have the most fun when I’m surrounded by people I love in one place that’s comfortable and we can hear each other. You can play card games, watch movies, I’m happy.”

Haha, same for me ! and I’m only 23… I know it seems sad, but I’ve been partying since I was 14, always with my big sis and my cousins, so I’m over the big partying thing…

I loved going out and partying when I was in my early 20′s. Now that I’m in my 30′s, I prefer to do what I’ve done the past 8 or so years….I make lasagna with my homemade sauce, toss a big salad and make a few finger foods. Then I invite 2-3 couples and their kids over and we have dinner, make mixed drinks and play cards or board games. And laugh. We laugh a lot. I also babysit on occasion for friends who want to go out. It usually looks like Tornado Alley when everyone leaves, but it’s so much fun, it’s worth it.

I’m at the ripe old age of 23, and have *never* liked going to big parties. I much prefer to sit home on the couch with a movie and a blanket.

So over the big parties. I would rather stay home have some good food and maybe a couple of friends to visit us and celebrate early. I remember the “Moscow Time” party friends used to throw. Home by 9 pm. Besides who wants to be on the road where a bunch of people who have had to much to drink (in celebration) and get behind the wheel thinking they are fine. I will stay home and wait for the snow storm coming with a few feet of snow.

Hubby and I stay in and make a nice candlelite dinner. Then we cuddle up on the sofa and watch a double feature of “An Affair to Remember” and “Sleepless in Seattle” We do that every year. Very rarely do we stay awake to midnight tho. This year is different than in the past, so maybe we will.
