Catherine Zeta-Jones says young men never had a chance with her. The 40-year-old actress – who is married to 65-year-old actor Michael Douglas – says she could never date someone who is younger than her because they are so “selfish”.
“I know that young men are more unbiased, playful and firmer. There’s no question about that. But they are also more selfish and narcissistic. This is why they never had a chance to go out with me.
“I need a man who is sensitive and caring. Someone who is superior to me and I can lean on. But that doesn’t mean that I fancy old and fat men.”
The mother-of-two told German magazine InTouch that her age difference with Michael is not an issue.
“He knows exactly what he wants and what life is about. That impresses me. But Michael can also be a real softy. He sends me flowers and cries when his kids say something particularly pathetic.
“We didn’t care about the age gap from the beginning on. We relied more on our emotions and feelings. It was like that and it should always be like that.”
How very sweet. It’s nice to hear of a couple that’s so happy together and making it in Hollywood.

Ok this interests me because I find it very difficult to work out. I saw CZJ play the lead in a musical production of 42nd Street in the west end in London when I was about 11 years old, a long time before she even became famous in the UK (through being in the comedy drama series The Darling Buds of May). She was said to be 16 years old when she started in that role, now I can see that that is a bit of a stretch. Most girls don’t graduate from stage school until they are 18 so for her to have gone through the chorus line and on to the lead role at that age is quite difficult to believe. Nonetheless, the girls who dance in those shows are generally in their late teens and twenties. So if she was born in 1960, that would have made her nearly 30 back then and then she would have been in her 30′s when she did The Darling Buds of May (in which she was supposed to be in her late teens/early 20′s). So she wouldn’t have even gone to HW until she was in her mid to late 30′s (she was around for quite some time in the UK not doing too well before she finally broke into films). I could see her being in her mid 40′s, that would kind of add up. But nearly 50? I find that difficult to believe, just from her career history. Where are people getting the year 1960 as her birth date from?

Oh really Catherine? Not all men are like that. My husband is the same age as me and he knows what he wants and he’s VERY NONselfish. He cares about me and goes out of his way to make me happy. Hes more sensitve and caring also. Age isnt nothing but a number so stop contridicting yourself
I am not a fan of Catherine; however, according to wikipedia her father was born in 1946. Simple math says that her father’s age would be 14 if Catherine was born in 1960. If she was born in 1969, he would have been 23. What is more logical?

She is definitely 40, 42 at the most. I am 38, live in NYC right near MD &CZJ. I have seen them several times in the street and once at a private charity event (Chris Reeve fdtn.). This was between 1999-2004/5-before mainstream botox &fillers. Many friends of my mother have had cosmetic surgery & full face lifts, you can always tell. CZJ looks younger in person and there is no way she has had major work, her skin is not tight enough. Unless she bathes in the fountain of youth there is no way she is near 50 yet-sorry to burst all the conspiracy bubbles. The White House story -like so much gossip is bs.
Catherine Zeta Jones has most definitely had work done! Mostly subtle work, but work nonetheless. A heavy smoker, she’s mostly tweaked her eyes. You can tell when OLD people have surgery, for sure. If a young person has a modest surgeon, you can’t tell.

It has been confirmed she was born 1960, making her 49. She looks great for 49. Harvey Weinstein helped her conceal her real age over 20 years ago. Google pictures of her, from like, 1990-1991, according to her fake age, shoulda made her 21-22 yrs old. Look at the pics and judge for yourself. clearly in her 30′s already. And no, it has nothing to do with the style of that era. I lived that era as I was 18 at the time, and NO ONE near my age dressed like that.
