Disney officials told the New York Post that the next season of ‘Hannah Montana’ will be the last. It does seem like a good time for Miley Cyrus to move on from the role that made her famous.
“You never know in this business . . . but right now we’re scheduled to wrap [forever] after shooting this new batch of episodes,” says Disney Channel Worldwide’s Adam Bonnett, senior VP/programming.
“The [new] episodes will continue to roll out at least over a full year,” he says.
The last season will premiere this spring, so ‘Hannah Montana’ fans will have new shows through spring 2011, it sounds like. Disney also said they would continue their business relationship with Miley. I guess so, given how successful this show is!
Do you think it’s time for Miley to move on or should she stick with the show that made her famous?

Let me ask you all something…are u a positive role model for ur own kids….a tv star and or singer should not be the main role model in ur kids life…..and. remember u were kids to….tattoos are not a bad things, it could be a lot worse, just cause I got my first tattoo at 15 does not mean that my child will, just cause jamie spears or any star that got pregnant as kids, does not mean they are bad….look around ur community teen pregnancy is on the rise….the blame lies on their parents for not knowing what their children r doing, allow miley to grow up and make her mistakes, we did…her being in the public does not mean that she must remain perfect….I think that most indivuals hate on young celebs cause they have more than u will ever have…

Although it was a huge success, she hasn’t been a good role model for those who tune in to her shows. It would not be appropriate for young girls to think those things are okay.

I love how people think tv should be raising your child. She is a TEENAGER. Don’t you remember being that young? Every teenanger makes mistakes. Just because she has a tattoo doesn’t make her a bad human being or role model. Maybe if you didn’t use tv as a form as parenting, and taught your own child right from wrong, miley wouldn’t have to be a “parent” and she could continue to grow up and do what makes her happy.
The only thing I like about that show is Hannah’s brother. That guy is funny!

I dont even think she should finish this season of episodes, I know I wont letting my 12 year old watch…. Im very disappointed how she has carried on within the last 6months….. tattoo, exposing herself, the poledance and In Austraila with her boyfriend… She is only 17 yrs old and acting like she’s 30 yrs old…. She has no business on a Disney show, her life is more like 90210, Gossip Girls……..
i personaly think that the way everyone is going on about all of the insidents miley cyrus has done or been through is just wrong because she is a amazing artist , actor , singer and yes she has done things in her life and we all should move on and stop dwelling on the past and move on to the futre and focus on all of her incredible achivements. With all due respect, I’m sure your 12-year-old wouldn’t want to watch THAT either. I’m 17 and even I haven’t done any of those things and doubt I will in my lifetime.
okayy she got a tattoo for her best friend that had died and she didn’t expose herself people are just all up in her business that they don’t need to be in and that wasn’t even a pole dance okayy she wasn’t even that close to the pole and i am 17 years old and i know how she feels because i look up to her and i want to be her someday because she inspires me to follow my dreams to sing and become an actress okayyy
Business wise i thinks its a bad move. Usually when celebs decide to move on to “bigger and better things”, they become unemployable has beens, cough mischa barton, cough. There have been a few exceptions though. Personally i would prefer for her to retire all together. Bad role model, lousy actress.

I think it’s a smart move for Miley Cyrus to discontinue the ‘Hannah Montanna’ series. Although it was a huge success, she hasn’t been a good role model for those who tune in to her shows. It would not be appropriate for young girls to think those things are okay. She should move on from her child era and stop acting like shes a positive role model. I can agree that TV should’nt be a way of parenting but you can’t stick a drunk guy in a costume and put him infront of your children and expect them not to know what the deal is.
