AmfAR To Pay Tribute To Natasha Richardson

AmfAR announced today that it will pay tribute to the late Natasha Richardson at its annual gala, on Feb. 10. Richardson and her family (mother, Vanessa Redgrave and sister, Joely Richardson) had been involved with the organization since her father died of AIDS-related causes in 1991. Natasha was on the board of trustees and was behind the successful auction event called "Unforgettable: Fashion of the Oscars," an auction of Academy Award gowns that raised more than $1.5 million for AIDS research.
"Natasha was an eloquent and persuasive spokesperson for amfAR," said chairman of the board Kenneth Cole. "Her unique combination of passion, grace, and intelligence made her the perfect ambassador for the fight against AIDS."
Vanessa Redgrave and Joely Richardson are co-chairing the event together. The dinner and auction will also include performances by Lady Gaga and Rufus Wainwright.
What a lovely way to pay special tribute to her and her dedication to the cause. :) It is so hard to believe that it has been almost a year already since she passed.
