When I first read through Taylor Swift’s quotes about what she is doing to her new Nashville home, I thought she was joking. Then I re-read the quotes… and I think she is serious!
Listen to this:
“It’s going to be my fantasy world. There’s a pond in the living room… The pond is a moat around the fireplace and may possibly have koi fish in it.”
“You step on a stepping stone in the pond in order to get on a spiral staircase, which takes you up to the human-sized bird cage observatory. They’re delivering a human-size birdcage, which I’ll put a brass telescope in. The ceiling of my living room is painted like the night sky.”
I still can’t figure this one out. Is Taylor really doing this? Or is this a joke? Can you imagine ordering a human-sized birdcage on the phone? LOL!!!

Dunno how much of this is true but hey, it’s her house and if she can afford it…it’s her business…I know I’d definitely paint my bedroom ceiling like the night sky…I always wanted to do that!
Maybe she meant sniper’s nest.. haha
It probably is true, if I could afford my own house and decorator when I was 19 or 20 I probably would gone over the top too.

I think she’s joking. For starters, fish in a pond around the fireplace…..they’d die. They wouldn’t be able to handle that direct heat, one would think.
Sounds pretty wicked, joke or not. I had a friend once who had a stream running through their living room with a glass floor over the top, it was awesome.
That’s cool! I saw something similar in a museum. Those were basically little ponds filled with old coins and porcelain.
I think this is true. Awhile back (after she first bought her place) she was on Oprah and I thought I heard her say something about a tree fort in her living room. This definitely sounds more creative and much cooler though. She’s very into fairytales and all that so I could totally picture this.
