“Pals” are telling Us Weekly that singer Alicia Keys is secretly engaged to boyfriend Swizz Beatz.
…Beatz, 31 (who is currently divorcing wife Mashonda), proposed with a 7-carat sparkler right before her big day; the happy couple were photographed strolling on a Hawaii beach the day of the proposal, Jan. 24.
Keys’ rep denies she is engaged, but another friend reveals, “They are currently in Hawaii celebrating the engagement and her birthday. She feels blessed.”
Adds the pal: “She is thrilled. She is with the man who has inspired so much of her music and her new album [The Element of Freedom].”
I’ve heard rumors about Alicia being in a relationship with a married man. If he is in the middle of a divorce, then I can see why there wouldn’t be an announcement. If this is true.
I don’t have the rights to the pictures of Alicia on vacation, but here’s a picture of her wearing what could be an engagement ring (although it doesn’t look like seven carats, does it?)

Negative. He was married and just had a baby when he and Alicia started kickin it. He swore up and down to his wife that it wasn’t true and that he loved her and his new baby. A few months after that his wife found out the truth. He then left his wife and his new baby. I really thought it was nice of he and Alicia to totally flaunt their relationship and devotion to one another (after his wife found out) while his wife was sitting at home with a new baby. Very, very classy.
I couldn’t agree more with donnaJ.. I would be totally wary about marrying someone who happily has an affair and leaves his wife? How could you trust each other? Never been a fan of Alicia so at the end of the day I don’t really care. Good luck to them.
