Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe has made no secret of her little crush on Justin Timberlake. She’s a huge fan of ‘N Sync and was so excited when it was Justin who announced her name for the Golden Globe nominations. She’s hoping that Justin might be available on Oscar night to escort her.
The actress jokes:
“I want to make Justin Timberlake and [The Hurt Locker actor] Anthony Mackie fight it out for the honor of being my date,” Sidibe told the Canadian entertainment TV show eTalk this week. “I’m just going to throw them in the ring and make them do it!”
She then seriously(?) says:
“Justin,” she says, “if you’re not doing anything on that night, maybe you could be my date or something. It’s fine. No pressure!”
I wonder what Jessica Biel would think of it? It’d be so sweet if he really took her, wouldn’t it? It seems an innocent “fan girl” situation. Justin might still be filming “The Social Network”, though.
She must be over the moon – to star in your first movie and have your performance nominated for an Oscar? Crazy!
