Queen Latifah is set to co-host the BET Network’s telethon “SOS Saving Ourselves – Help for Haiti”. She’ll be sharing hosting duties with Diddy and Pharrell this Friday night. The money raised will benefit charities like Yele Haiti, but she says that on a personal level, she wants to help build orphanages and possibly adopt!

“I would love to, but it’s going to take some time because things are in a bit of disarray down there. That is definitely something I would try to do. There are a lot of kids who are in need of a good home now, and I definitely think I can provide that.”

How exciting for her, I hope things work out!

She also talked about her health and how she maintains her weight loss.

“I don’t really diet. I kind of keep everything in moderation, exercise and eat right. I eat a lot of vegetables and lean meats, and I drink a whole lot of water,”

She reveals her weakness:

“Mac and cheese…I gotta have it!”

Her thoughts on turning 40:

“To me as long as you’re young at heart, it really doesn’t matter how old you are, To me, age is really how you feel on the inside.”

I couldn’t agree more!

The telethon will air Friday night at 8pm EST on BET, MTV, VH1 and a few other channels.
