Taylor Swift Is Looking For A Tall, Funny Guy

I'm going to comfort myself with the idea that this interview means Taylor Swift is NOT dating John Mayer. She recently said she's looking for a tall, funny guy. And when Taylor says tall, she means a guy who's taller than her (and she's 5' 11" tall).
"The bad thing about being tall is the majority of people are at a different eye level than you, and so you feel like you're looking down to talk to people, which is kind of unnatural – looking down to talk to people, and they have to look way up to talk to you.
"It just depends on what group of people you're around. If there are a few scattered tall people in the room or in the group of people that you're talking to, it's not awkward at all. But if you're around a bunch of little, mini-people and you're the only giant in the circle, it can be kind of interesting."
Makes sense to me :)
Yet Taylor also wants a guy who's funny.
"Somebody who has a compatible sense of humor with me, that would be the most important thing."
Taylor just may have found a match, if 'Boys Like Girls' lead singer Martin Johnson has his way. They did the duet 'Two is Better than One' together, and here's how he described Taylor:
"Taylor Swift is the perfect human being. She's great. She's such a nice, wholehearted, sweet girl, and she's the biggest superstar in the world. My mom would be stoked if I brought her home."
High praise! I wonder how tall and funny Martin is?

Poor girl! ;o) I am also 5'11" and definitely understand what she is referring to. So many people have told me they find me intimidating, simply because of my size (about 6'2"-6'3" in heels). Given that the average American male 20-30 years old is about 5'8", dating will often mean having to settle for someone shorter. As you get older, you will have to stare at so many bold spots it can put you off dating all together... Where are all the tall guys???

So glad to hear she's not with John Mayer. She shouldn't worry about height at all. I'm 5'8" and my husband is 5'10". I wear heals all the time, he likes it when I'm taller than him.

I can totally relate, i'm 5'11 and have always had 'tall people syndrome'.... especially here in NZ where everyone (well it seems like it) is short. I used to hate it and slouch, but now I don't mind so much. My BF is a bit shorter than me, and I wish he was taller!!!

Mayer is 6 feet 3 or 4 inches tall. And he is one of the funniest guys on the planet. Do your research. The guy writes and performs comedy. Check out some of his comedy videos like "John Mayer and Kanye West Recording Bittersweet" or "John Mayer Has a tv Show" or "John Mayer Shows us How a Song is written" or "2 guys, One cup". Hilarious! Granted some of his comedy is a bit blue but he's brilliant. I saw Taylor say in live interviews that John is very funny and kept her laughing when they worked together. So he's not out of the running, hahaha. Anyway, it's none of yours or anyone's business who either of them date. They're adults.
