Angelina Jolie visited the Dario Contreras Hospital in the Dominican Republic, where a number of survivors of the earthquake in Haiti are being treated. The hospital’s spokesman said:
“She spoke with several children and a Haitian woman who recognized her and requested help.”
Have you continued to follow what’s happening in Haiti? It’s heartbreaking. I can’t even IMAGINE being there in person.

After meeting with earthquake victims in a hospital in the Dominican Republic, Angelina Jolie is headed to Haiti on Monday.
The actress and UN goodwill ambassador visited with survivors at the Dario Contrera Hospital in Santo Domingo, says spokesman Dario Manon. Dozens of the victims of the Jan. 12 earthquake in Haiti are receiving medical help at the hospital.
“She spoke with several children and a Haitian woman who recognized her and requested help,” Manon said, according to the Associated Press.
The actress was accompanied by Gonzalo Vargas Llosa, a representative of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees and the son of Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa.
In the aftermath of the earthquake, Jolie and partner Brad Pitt donated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders to provide medical assistance to those in need of emergency care.

All I see is a woman trying to do good some where in the world where they are much less fortunate than we are here in the states, at least we have the means to do better. and a woman who has a beautiful family and a great husband and is just trying to be happy in the mist of constant rumors and jealousy and hate. I am happy for anyone in this kind of spotlight that can keep it together and I am glad Brad and Angelina are suing the damn rags that are starting all these rumors, more celebs should do the very same thing, give people a break just let them be happy….just put yourself in their shoes
