I missed Maggie Grace’s character, Shannon, on the season premiere of ‘Lost’ when I saw Boone on the plane, so I’m glad to hear she was able to work out a deal to return to the show, according to Entertainment Weekly.
“We’re really excited about having her back on the show,” says [executive producer Carlton] Cuse, “and we have a good story for her.”
Carlton and Damon Lindelof, along with members of the ‘Lost’ cast, also talked with Entertainment Weekly about how things are going so far in the sixth season.
“I certainly was not prepared for the level of scrutiny that the show is being held to this season,” says Cuse. “It’s like if you actually had to have your Christmas televised as the Super Bowl halftime show, and America was going to watch what you bought for your family as presents and then pass judgment on them.”
Seriously, he wasn’t prepared for the scrutiny? ‘Lost’ fans have been waiting for this season for a couple of YEARS (since the ending was announced), so this surprises me.
Get ready for an epic battle between good and evil.
“The stakes are rising,” warns Evangeline Lilly. “We’re building to a situation where we have two camps of people pitted against each other….”
Star Matthew Fox is happy about what’s happening, though.
“[The season] has so far surpassed whatever my imagination could have dreamed. I feel really fortunate to have been a part of this series. It’s going to go down as one of the all-time greats.”
There’s another snippet from the Entertainment Weekly interview here, and you can read the entire thing in the next issue.
What do you think of the “flash-sideways” device? I am LOVING it so far. I just hope this doesn’t go like the ‘X-Files’ where nothing could fulfill my expectations by the time we reached the series’ finale.
