Luckily, this is all in the past for Colin Farrell, who now has two sons: six-year-old James and four-month-old Henry. However, Colin admits that at one time, his main focus was finding his next drink.
“There were times when I was with my son and I was wondering how long I would have to spend before I could go off and get p***ed.
“Now – two hours in the pub, then I get bored. I was at that party for long enough.”
At one point, his drinking was so bad that Colin feared it would kill him.
“I’d been drinking since I was 14. I was pretty sick. At the beginning of recovery I found it really hard.
“For me there was no choice. It was tough but I was dying. I was struggling not to have a complete meltdown. I was just gone. I’m glad I’m out of that cycle, I’m very lucky.”
Good for Colin for getting help and getting better!
