According to E! Online's Ted Casablanca, the answer seems to be: yes. People who are supposedly close to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt explained the motivation to the gossip columnist.
"Angie has been incredibly hurt about the nasty stories about her and has been upset at how much of a beating she gets in the press since her and Brad first got together," dishes a fed-up member in Brangie's inner circle.
"Brad gets defensive because she couldn't be more different than this evil witch that she's portrayed as in some of the stories."
Our source continues: "Angie's a very kind, humble and a dedicated mom. And Brad wishes people would realize they're just a normal couple who love each other and their kids very much.
"Maddox is always on the Internet with his laptop, and they're worried that he or the other kids might Google and read crazy untrue stories about them splitting," stresses our source. "They try and make the kids feel as secure as they can."
Hence: the pictures.
I wondered if the kids (especially Maddox, as the oldest) was part of the motivation for them suing that British tabloid over the break-up story. Now, apparently, the photos of Brad and Angelina kissing (sorry, I don't have the rights to the ones of them kissing on the set of 'The Tourist') are planned to combat that. According to this source.
IF this story is true, I'm not sure I blame them. Brad and Angelina get so much attention, and while they are savvy enough to ignore it, I'm sure their kids will be affected as they become more aware.

Of course they are planning these photo-ops. it's hollywood. That's standard operating procedure. The problem is that it does not make me care any more or any less.

If she wants to sell herself for publicity fine, but when celebrities use their children then it's only repulsive.
She is staging these kind of photos for years in order to change her image from drug addicted brother kissing scandal girl to Mother Theresa.

I'm starting to think that everything that goes on with these two are for show. I think their relationship is more of a business than an actual relationship. Angie is not stupid and everything she does, says, shows, is for a reason. Now what goes on behind closed doors I'm sure if far more interesting....

I think the answer to that question is a big DUH!?!?
But my second thought was why does a 7-year-old have unlimited access to the internet? Maybe they'll figure out that being a responsible parent is more important than being a "cool" parent. At least, that seems to be the impression they're giving off.

Anyone with kids knows that at that age, they should have access to kids sites only and gain access to more as they mature. In this day and age, that's not really far-fetched, do you think? Googling and coming up with a list of stories wouldn't get him too far if he the sites he had access to was limited. They sure as sh*t shouldn't have access to sites like this one.

and there are parental controls and you can also put in key words and block that way. no one knows what she has set up on her kids computer but I am sure being the protective mom she is that he is just fine

Where does it say unlimited access? If you people don't like what's cooking, get out of the kitchen. You all complain about them yet who are the only ones replying to their stories? Haters. Traffic at the iconic Gare de Lyon train station came to a halt as Jolie, dressed in her chic costume, navigated crowds, scanned the departures list and hurried to a platform. Between takes during the 90-minute shoot, the actress, 34, smiled and called "Bonjour!" to the crowd.

Onlookers of the morning shoot, which involved coordinating a group of 200 extras, plus the normal rush of train passengers, were impressed by Jolie. "She was very nice to everyone, very patient," one restaurant employee tells PEOPLE. "No fuss, and she is trés Jolie," she adds. "Very pretty."
Added a station employee who ignored a line of customers in her coffee bar to snap photos of the star: "She's much more beautiful in person. I can't believe how beautiful."

Exactly my thoughts! And although everyone is entitle to their opinion and comments on whatever makes their day. I found it to be amusing how much these people love to hate on these two Lol.
I wish that Brad and Angie to continue to be open , hold hands kiss have dinner date and show the world they are real couple. That way no more reunion no more Angie will get the next co star stories. She has Brad and he has her. The rags is missing making money on the fake stories they make off them. JA and her yet anothr new man stories doesn't sell unless she is attached with the JP in some way . It is very sad. They are not doing her a favour by doing that either.
The media should stop with her and Brad stories. Fans needs to move on. She needs to tell her PR pigs to find her something to be relvant about. She can make it that way.
