Johnny Depp and his partner Vanessa Paradis are finally going to do some work together on the big screen. The couple is set to appear in the new movie ‘My American Lover’.
Johnny said:
“It’s in preparation. It’s called ‘My American Lover’. Vanessa plays the French feminist Simone de Beauvoir and I play her lover Nelson Algren who is real macho.”
Simone de Beauvoir was a 20th century French writer and philosopher. She traveled through Latin America with Algren in 1949.
Johnny is currently shooting ‘The Tourist’ with Angelina Jolie and admits he is “impressed” by her.
He said of Angelina:
“She’s a nice woman. What she does she takes very seriously. I was really impressed by her and I’m thrilled to be working with her.”
Johnny is also excited about the next ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film.
“I love Captain Jack. In the earlier films there were so many subplots that the audience, and even I, was sometimes confused. The next part is fun, a lot of fun.”
Well, all three sound great because they have that one golden thing in common: Johnny Depp. I think it’ll be great to see him & Vanessa in a film together. I’m sure they’ll enjoying being able to see one another every day during shooting.

vanessa paradis is so pretty and some of her modeling pics are sexy as ever. Her kids are beautiful….I dont know why people say shes a slut, etc…etc…do you even know the meaning of a slut? geez people get a life….look at yourself in the mirror before criticizing someone else..

I just love how Johnny i so down to earth which opens him up to a lot of excellent films. He is in there for the craft and not necessarily the fame. But that is a perk.

I love Simone de Beauvoir, and add the fact that Johnny’ll be playing in it, definitely gonna go see it.
Vanessa – Watch your man! Angelina has a habit of trying to hookup with costars. Although, I hope Johnny would reject her advances. But Angie does seem to like the scruffy type. Hey, maybe that’s why Brad looks so…shaggy lately. Trying to be like Johnny.

Johnny and Vanessa have been together a hell a lot longer than Brad and Angelina and yet you wrote Johnny and his ‘partner’ but when you write about Brad and Angelina you always refer them as ‘husband’ and ‘wife’….why is that????
Brad and Angelina are married. Johhy and Vanessa are not. They have children together, and have been together a very long time, but they have not “tied the not.” That is why they are referred to as “partners.”
Both AJ and VP look like Morticia Adams. AJ’s is natural, VP is trying too hard to pull of glamgoth. Johnny’s no dummy – he’d runscreaming in the opposite direction from AJ even if he were single. She’s crunchy granola in human form – fruity, nutty and flakey.
Angelina will probably try to go after Vanessa, not Johnny.
I hope Angeline leaves Brad for Jen Aniston. That would be hilarious.
