Nicole Richie and Joel Madden walked the red carpet during the 82nd Annual Academy Awards. Ryan Seacret had a moment to talk to the happy couple. Turns out Joel has a job tonight – he’s the event DJ.
I’m DJing tonight. I’m actually inside the show and entertaining the crowd in between production. I plan on doing a lot of old school Motown.
Joel wanted to keep his plans a secret. Nicole said she had no idea what was up her fiance’s sleeve.
He actually wanted to keep it a big secret tonight. I actually don’t know what he’s playing.
Then the question came about the big day. When are these two getting married?! Nicole joked:
It’s tomorrow.
Wouldn’t that be really funny if it was? Joel had a different idea.
We thought it would be really fun to do it here at the Oscars.
A red carpet wedding? That would be unique! 
Joel continued:
You never know. We’re trying to do the same thing as our engagement, we’re kinds doing our own thing.
Naturally, Nicole and Joel are keeping the details to themselves. It doesn’t make it less exciting for their fans!
Are you watching the Oscars? I am part of the country that won’t be able to see the show tonight thanks to ABC and Cablevision having an issue. ARGH!
