You might recall that in July of 2008 Christian Bale had an argument with his mother and sister that ended with Christian being questioned by police. There was a lot of speculation as to what the fight was about, but it was never confirmed. In the end, Christian was cleared of all charges. Since the argument, it seems that Christian has cut his mother and sister from his life.
His mother Jenny says she has no idea as to why he has ignored all attempts she has made contact him since the argument on the night of the premiere of his movie ‘The Dark Knight‘.
She said:
“He’s not talking to us, it’s not the other way round. He has changed his phone numbers, and he ignores the letters, emails and birthday cards I send. “As awful as that night was, and although I rack my mind every day about what could have made him behave like that, I’d happily forget it happened if we could go back to being a family. That’s the most important thing. We miss Christian terribly. But it’s been more than 18 months now and it’s hard to see how this will ever end.”
According to Jenny and her daughter Sharon, they are still unsure why Christian – who has a four-year-old daughter Emmeline with wife Sibi Blazic – “exploded with anger” and had them thrown out of his hotel shortly before the premiere.
“He just exploded with anger like I have never seen. He never gave us a chance to find out what it was all about before he frog-marched us out of his suite.”
His sister added:
He had his face to mine and he was bellowing and swearing about how I never called or emailed. His wife, who I have met a few times and always got on with, was standing across the room. I kept asking her, ‘Why is he doing this?’ but she just shrugged. I was shaking. It was so frightening. It didn’t make any sense. “It probably went on for about ten minutes before he physically marched us out of the room and into the lift.”
His mother says she now relies on the internet to keep up with her son’s life:
“I search for pictures of him on Google just to see how he is. Sometimes he’s pictured with his daughter, and I get to see how she’s growing. If I want to know what’s going on in his life, I have to read the headlines. What if something terrible happens and I have to find out about it in a newspaper? I’m his mum and he’s my little boy.”
It must have been a pretty intense argument to cause Christian to stop speaking to them completely. I’m sure their going to the media is not going to make him warm up and forgive the fight.

There is nothing more tragic than a family splitting up. I hope Christian’s daughter gets to know his side of the family some day.
I believe his mother is a therapist and I believe her account as I see how he goes off in blind rages over minutiae. I think he is an narcissistic abusive man.
I think Christian has anger issues and probably needs to be on meds. I have a dear friend whose husband explodes like time bomb. The stories she has told me. Other than I think he and others like him are batsh*t crazy, I don’t make excuses for this type of behavior. In the end someone usually ends up dead. So get on your meds. Sounds like the whole family is kind of crazy though. Must be in the gene pool.
Strange family. I always thought Christian was abusive to his wife. I hope not but he has that Sean Penn aura about him.

That woman is nuts! Christian said in an interview once that when he was losing weight for he´s movie the machinist he´s mother told him to do drugs, because that’s what other actors did! That Woman get´s what she deserves from her son.
I have a hard time believing she has “no idea” what set him off. She knows perfectly well what set him off.
He does seem nuts but his mother sounds shady too. Heard he was raised by his father who was very loving but always had an acrimonious relationship with his mom.

I didnt read anything about school tuitions or anything, but the mom and the sister seem shady and trashy to me, especially now that sister dearest is squealing to the press about how much they miss him!

I think he’s a pretty intense kind of guy but I think Mommy dearest isn’t telling the whole story.

Wasn’t there something about the mother and daughter asking for money for his niece and nephews school fee’s involved? Funny how that’s not mentioned!
it was reported that his sister filed bankruptcy….gee do you think that have anything to do with it? they were obviously fighting over money. no one (unless you’re completely insane) go ballistic and throw temper for no reason. they’re trying to make him look really bad and I don’t blame him for not speaking to them.

Yes, I think he has severe anger management issues, but I have to wonder if he inherited that trait from his mom. Sister might’ve gotten the same gene! Doesn’t seem likely that there’s only one person at fault – but – it’s none of our business. . .
I’m sure talking to the press about their private family matters will clear this matter up. These women are clearly idiots trying to make him look bad and themselves look saintly. (And no, I’m not saying he has no blame in this)
