Lindsay Lohan Called Her Mother Crying After Seeing E-Trade Ad

Dina Lohan fully supports Lindsay’s decision to sue E-Trade over their ad (which premiered during the Super Bowl). Dina told the New York Post that Lindsay called her in tears after seeing the ad.

“She said, ‘Mommy, help me. This is wrong. How can they do this?’

“They’re little babies doing this, mocking another child who’s just trying to survive Hollywood, basically,” Dina Lohan said.

“I’m just basically glad I took a stand. I’m not going to let them do this to us anymore,” Dina Lohan said of the “horrible” and “mean” ad.

So this really doesn’t sound like a rumor at this point, unfortunately.

Dina said Lindsay is recognizable by her first name only, just like Cher or Madonna. Yet E-Trade maintains that Lindsay is a popular baby name.

I still can’t believe they’re asking for $100 MILLION in damages. I mean, even if Lindsay is right (and I think that’s really questionable, just because her name is nowhere near as distinctive as Cher, Madonna, or Oprah, for example), is it worth $100 million?

You all know I’m pulling for Lindsay, but this just doesn’t seem like a step in the right direction to me.

How can you “ROOT” for Lindsay? Seriously?? That’s right, she’s rooting for the spoiled, rich, lazy and over-privileged Hollywood princess, ooohhh lets all hope and pray Lindsay gets $100 million for a stupid coincidence (aka doing NOTHING). On second thought, how about rooting for people who actually need help and financial support-not some bimbo with 10,000 pairs of shoes she’s never worn laying around?

  2. MidwestMom says:

    How ridiculous!

  3. OutInLeftField says:

She’s an idiot. This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard of. I read somewhere else that the advertising company uses names of their employees in their ads. So suck it Lindsay cause you’re not the only Lindsay out there.

  4. Landy says:

If there’s any justice in this world, she’ll wind up paying E-Trade for the damage she’s caused them with this lawsuit.

  5. Jenny Lee says:

when people talk about her to me, we refer to her as Blohan…

  6. Anonymous says:

    she’s crazy!!

  7. Anonymous says:

Mommy help Me, is this ish for real, give me a break, I hope they dont even settle for 10 thousand for this drug abusing poser.. Please let the entire family move to Iran.. now and in a hurry, again,, give me a break

  8. dutchgirl says:

i wouldn’t be surprised if E-Trade and Lindsay secretly made a deal, look at how much publicity this is getting…

  9. audrey says:

Does this mean every Lindsay in the world can join in the law suit? This chick needs to put down the pipe and get herself together….cause suing someone for using a fairly common popular name in a commercial is freaking over the top.

  10. Kai says:

This is so ridiculous (the lawsuit). Nobody thought of Lohan when they saw this commercial! Lindsay is an extremely popular name and it’s a little narcissitic that she thought it was some sort of jab at her. Get over yourself!

  11. Ro says:

Seriously ………. they have to be kidding, right? When does Lindsay ever run to MOMMY? What a bunch of cr_p! Maybe Dina needs money to buy a pair of shoes that fit her, her toes are hanging off those shoes she has on. Lindsay and her mom are trying to milk off of someone again!!!!!!!!!

  12. Aimee says:

$100 Million? That’s just ridiculous. Lindsay is a very common name and I highly doubt they were referring to Lindsay Lohan in the commercial. And she is definitely not recognizable by her first name only.

  13. Aimee says:

Yea I read that E-trade actually did use the name Lindsay because (aside from the fact that is a common name) it is the name of one of their employees.

  14. Anonymous says:

wahhhh cry a river. this is so lame!!! seriously maybe if she actually had an acting job or two she wouldn’t have to make money from suing ppl over a tv commercial. grow the EFF up whore!!

  15. DaleJuniorAmp88 says:

This lawsuit is a joke, and will (yet again) be another pointless lawsuit the taxpayers are going to have to shell out hard earned money for. Even if the lawsuit had merit, why is she NOW suing the company for the commercial? The Superbowl was weeks ago, so you can’t tell me she’s just gotten wind of the E-trade commercial.

LINDSAY HAVE ANOTHER HIT. PARANOIA WILL DESTROY YA

  17. Anonymous says:

umm… who even thought of Lindsay Lohan when they saw this commercial?? She’s delusional if she thinks that she’s known by her first name only! Oprah and Madonna I can understand, but it’s Lindsay Lohan, not Lindsay.

  18. KayR says:

Give me a break! Suing because they used the name Lindsay. If you need money get a job instead of suing over ridiculous things!

  19. Anonymous says:

Seriously, if there were one person on this earth that I wish the media would stop reporting on (including this blog!) is Lindsay Lohan.

  20. xy mom says:

I never ever thought of Lohan when I saw this commercial. Lindsay is so common. 100 million dollars would be a dollar each if they all joined in.

  21. Lizzypoo says:

Linsay is not first name fame like Cher or Madonna. Do you know any other Cher or Madonna’s (besides religion). If anything I recognize her by Lohan.

  22. audrey says:

I’ve seen it a few times too, and never once thought about Lohan being the Milkaholic.

  23. Blue Hair says:

Poor Dina, she can’t even recognize when her daughter is drunk calling her.

  24. Anonymous says:

Pretty sure if anyone did think of her, that would mean she was still relevant. How self centered must she be??

wah wah wah, poor lindsay poor lindsay. that’s all she wants to hear

  27. meme says:

mommy help me? STFU Blohan and snort another line.

  28. Ha says:

Since when is, how old is she? 22?, considered being a “child” anymore. She has a choice about trying to “survive Hollywood”. She can take her cocaine-snorting, no talent *ss back to S.I. or wherever she’s from and then she won’t have to be deluded into thinking she’s MUCH more important in people’s minds than she actually is.

  29. KissKiss says:

These people are delusional! That’s all I can say.

  30. minusfigures says:

Dina is right in one aspect; Lindsay is a “child”.
She’s angry and constantly humiliated, thus, hitting back by suing seems (in her mind) to be the only thing she can do.
I wonder why its never occurred to her to just pull her socks up, kick her habit and start acting again. She IS talented, but that talent has been overshadowed by her assumption that she is BETTER than she is.
I like Lindsay, but shes got to pull herself together before she becomes a parody of herself.

  31. Riviera says:

    Too late! Already happened!

  32. wah wah wah, poor lindsay poor lindsay

  33. teddie says:

Lindsay is full of Sh!t! She was laughing about it when it was first shown, people told her not to think everything revolved around her.

  34. Anonymous says:

E Trade is probably just thrilled to bits over all this free publicity they are getting, especially since they most certainly don’t have to worry about this ridiculous lawsuit from going very far. Keep up the good work, Linds! Ps I have about 23 friends named Lindsey and none of them are named after Ms. Lohan.

  35. lis says:

Lindsay is a super common name.

Her mother is not helping her at all by calling her a baby, a child.
