Corey Haim’s mother, Judy Haim, spoke with Access Hollywood today and shared details from the autopsy.
She shared that she received an early “courtesy call” from the LA County Coroner’s Office who told her that an autopsy:
found Corey had an enlarged heart and his lungs were filled with water. His cause of death was due to pulmonary congestion.
She told the Coroner’s office that he was taking 4 different prescription medications, but they haven’t confirmed if those medications were found in his body. Those reports will probably take a few weeks.

That is what congestive heart failure is – lungs fill up with water and crowd out the heart so it can’t beat, plus the person can’t breathe as they fill up. If he had an enlarged heart, that could easily be what happened.
how does someone get water in their lungs? was he is water beforehand??
I love the last picture of him….he looks so adorable! he was a cutie pie….soft face and beautiful smile. years of drugs really took a toll on his looks – it’s heartbreaking. I’m sorry he’s gone….I will miss him. RIP
He was so cute. Most prescription drugs do more harm than good. Antibiotics are an exception among a few others. Otherwise please think before you pop a pill. Just like illegal drugs, most legal drugs only mask the true problem instead of treating the root cause.
I don’t think OD’ing qualifies as a heart condition.
oh sure, all of them had the flu before the die, like britanny, and all of them did drugs…coincidence? the pr should need that line.
but I´ll miss corey, it was so sad seeing him in that path.
