UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador is a title Angelina Jolie takes very seriously. She not only talks the talk – she walks the walk. About a year ago, she visited a refugee camp in Afghanistan and was told the biggest concern was for the education of the girls. So, Angelina donated over $75,000 to get things started. The school is set to open already next Monday.
The school has eight classrooms, four administrative buildings, a well and eight latrines. It can accommodate up to 800 students in two shifts. The UNHCR is working with UNICEF to recruit teachers and textbooks.
Wow, what a great feeling that must be to know that you played a large role in changing so many lives.
Angelia was snapped taking a short stroll with Zahara and Shiloh today before heading over to film more scenes with Johnny Depp.
The paparazzi are sure getting a lot of “on set” photos of these two. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to stay focused when you have paps snapping your every move.

Remember she is having a benefit for Haiti.. don’t know when.. plus she thinks we should all go to Mexico.. despite the government warning about some areas.. Well she only goes to Cabo.. they don’t experience the REAL Mexico that most of the citizen experience.

Angie is hot hot hot she and johnny together in the movie makes it more hot hot hot. I can’t wait for this movie. She is role model for her charity work and just for being it all. I love her.
maybe she should take a leaf out of Greg Mortensen’s book – he has built more than a dozen schools around Afghanistan for girls to become educated. He has been kidnapped, exhiled, shot at, etc and ultimately has gained the support and respect of the taliban even though he goes against what they rule; in spite of the danger he lives in he continues to do the work he needs to do to get the schools built. Yet very few people have ever heard of him. Don’t get me wrong, I think the fact that she has donated a large amount of money is fantastic, any amount of money donated is fantastic. I just don’t understand the need to broadcast it. There are a ton of people that donate money, time, supplies etc and don’t alert the media at every dollar spent.
Probably partly to make people aware that we take many things for granted, to motivate and partly advertise herself, which is not bad. Her deeds require money! She donates, announces to the people, becomes more popular, people watch her movies, she earns more money and donates…. It is a cycle.
Just one more reason to love her, and another for the haters to hate her
