Last night the Humane Society held the 24th annual Genesis Awards, and celebrities turned out, including the newly-engaged Michael Vartan. Here’s the goal of the awards ceremony:
Every year, the Genesis Awards pays tribute to the major news and entertainment media for producing outstanding works such as these, which raise public understanding of animal issues.
I have a soft spot for animals 
Tippi Hedren, Melanie Griffiths’ mother, was given a Lifetime Achievement Award. You can read about other awards given here.
