I don’t know how to feel about this story. I actually didn’t see the clip and I’m sure they were edited in a way to encourage the drama, but either way Kate Gosselin and partner Tony Dovolani are having a really hard time working together.
During their rehearsal, Tony said “Nothing in dancing is natural to Kate.” The reality mom then responded with:
“He feels like I undermine him as a teacher. You’re not taking into consideration how I learn! I’m done, I’m done today.”
Then TONY QUITS after removing his mic pack! At this point Kate is crying and then says: “I don’t get it! A lot of people quit on me in my life.”
And my heart breaks because I can’t imagine what she must feel like to even have said that out loud. That is a raw true emotion and Kate really feels alone which makes me very sad for her, but she has to own some of this doesn’t she? Could it be that perhaps she was a bit difficult to work with? It isn’t just about Tony quitting on her right? This is a two way street.
Did you watch the episode last night? US Weekly is reporting that while Kate danced, she rolled her eyes and continuously missed the mark. When Bruno Tonioli called their routine a “nightmare”, Kate just rolled her eyes again. He finished his critique by saying “you go through the motions like a Stepford Wife. You need to get acting lessons!”
It’s hard to be judged. What’s your take?
It was obvious during their performance last night that dancing in no way comes natural to her AND she doesn’t seem to want to work hard enough to get it even a little bit. That must be frustrating to her partner.
The judges were spot on with their critiques, IMO.
when is this bitch going away as in FOREVER? i pity the gosselin children because obviously they are low on their parents’ list of priorities.
When people start out in modeling or acting – any show biz career – they are told you have to have a thick skin, that you are going to get A LOT of criticism, and that you have to learn from it instead of getting angry and quitting. Kate doesn’t seem to understand this. It seems she thinks she should be congratulated by the judges/Tony for merely making an effort.

I get it, its a patter because she is a raving witch and people reach a point where they cant take her anymore. How insulting of her to be telling the world class dance teacher how he should teach, like he said b4 hea walked, I teach teachers how to teach, and of course she then played the victim and rolled out the fake tears when she has gone too fat.
Oh please. Save your pity because this woman deserves none of it. This is my take on her saying everyone quits on her. If I am having a bad day and person after person I come into contact with are being disgruntled then I have to step back and consider its ME with the problem and not them. She needs an attitude adjustment big time. Then she might actually find her life is fun and worth something more then a one liner on a gossip site.
I don’t watch the show but I hope this isn’t true! Or exaggerated at least. Maybe they were both just having a bad day
It’s 110% true because the whole scene aired on TV for everyone to see. It was extremely shocking to watch! I couldn’t believe what was happening.
Just speaking from a dancing stand point I can see where she gets frustrated. I have absolutely no rythm and no matter how hard I train I’m not going to flow smoothly on stage. Kate might be trying her hardest, but her body is just not going to do it.
I think that those of you who are attacking Kate should just fade away. You have no idea what was going on in that house during filming. So keep your opinions to yourself. as far as Jon, take a looka at what he has done since the divorce. Gone from one girl to another and freeloading while Kate is home with the children. Until recently she has been doing nothing to bring her into the media. I think it is a shame that you people think it is so nice to call people names and belittle them. Before you do this take a look at yourselves.
Maybe Kate should start to wake up and realize that people quit on her because she treats them like crap. Stop talking down to people and remember that you are not perfect. I soooo hate this lady. Yes Jon may have cheated on her but I don’t blame him. She was just pure evil and I will dance for joy the night she gets eliminated. I was a true Fan of Jon & Kate plus Eight and saw first hand how she treated Jon, I still don’t understand how people could pity this women. Was everyone blind and deaf while watching the show or maybe the ones that take her side are just like her.
She actually believes she could win this. What world is she living in? Money is like a magic pill for this lady. She thinks it will solve everything. Stop spending your money on yourself and love your children. Those poor kids need so much love, they are craving it and the pictures prove it. I will take those kids off their hands any day.
She never said “A lot of people quit on me in my life”. All she said was I don’t get it. You have your facts wrong.
no need to worry about the gosselin children. kate bears the personality of both my parents (minus the mental illness on mother’s side). their best friends will be pills. they can forget their pain with booze. they’ll come to realize the most reliable dicks are made of paper. it’s a question of time.
you are the first person to mention the children!!….. She shouldnt feel alone, she has 8 kids waiting at HOME . She shouldnt be in a show, she should be home being a mother.
I saw it – she can’t dance. It doesn’t even look like she’s trying. She could at least look like she’s having fun. And if she knew she was this hopeless, why did she bother signing up? Really woman, you’re a mother, not a star.
During the whole “arguing” scene with her partner I kind of imagined Jon at home with a beer laughing and saying “Ha! Now you see what I’ve been living with?”
That is a direct quote from the show. When Tony came back in to the room Kate said “Thank you for coming back. A lot of people quit on me in my life.” Sadly, she doesn’t see how she pushes them away.
I agree she is not a dancer. Pretty bad when an 80 yr old man has better moves.
i feel like she wants to prove too much to the world. leave the world out of it kate. get into the music, let it go! give up control! she is very controlling of her life but with 8 kids, i am sure she has to be but she needs to learn to roll with it too!
That whole ‘I Quit’ drama was so fake! She was trying to wipe away crocodile tears. Instead of a dance show, this is turning into a Reality (i.e Fake) Show.
OK….its obvious Erin and Maks are doin the nasty offstage. But why are the producers trying to create some sexual chemistry between Cheryl an Chad? It was so ridiculous. There is no chemistry between them. We aren’t idiots.
It literally was painful to watch her dance. I’d rather watch Buzz Aldren one more week than see her back on the dance floor next week. Put poor Tony out of his misery!
Kate is clearly out of her element. I’m sure Tony is at the end of his rope. Even Jake who I can’t stand was great. I think kate is hopeless, she has no rhythm what so ever. I agree I like watching Buzz better than Kate. He smiles, and looks like he is having a good time, Kate looks snarly. she doesn’t take criticism well. Instead of learning from it, like everybody else does, she sulks. I agree Kate and her $35,000 worth of veeneers and what have you are trying to hard to become something more than a reality star mom. I hope she is voted off soon. I will probably leave the room while she is dancing if she stays on. She is hard to watch, it’s like scratching your eyeballs out.
Kate was trying to control Tony like she controlled Jon, but Tony was having none of it! She is such a control freak, and she just can’t see it. It’s a sad shame. It would be interesting to see her for a few more weeks, just to see if she can let go, and let someone else lead for a change.
oh it was SO hard to watch Kate last night. I swear she was talking to Tony during the dance….ugh…so bad. I thought for sure she’d get worse scores than Buzz. she was a real mess out there. i dont think she is gonna last long…but Neicy was awesome! I just love her to bits. My guess is that Kate or Buzz will go tonight.
Tony Dovolani appears to be one of the most mild-mannered guys on DWTS show. It must have taken a lot for him to blow his top.
There are two sides to every story and that being said, I think sometimes the judges offer criticism in an insulting manner. It’s one thing to critique a dancer and another to be downright insulting. Also, this is only week two – so what where they expecting? Miracles?
This is a highly competitive season. You have to come out strong from the start.
