Jon Gosselin’s attorney announced that he plans to file papers for primary custody today. He claims Kate is an “absentee mom” because she’s in Los Angeles participating in ‘Dancing with the Stars.’
Meanwhile, although Kate’s official public response is that she will not respond except to say she “will do everything necessary to provide for my kids,” someone has told Radar Online that Jon is an “absentee dad.”
“He didn’t see the kids for weeks and the only reason was that he wanted to hang out with his girlfriend,” a source familiar with the situation told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “He’s claiming that Kate is an absentee mother when the truth is she’s a working mother. What he’s saying is an insult to every mother who has to work to take care of her family.”
I’m guessing this source is from Kate’s camp.
And someone (perhaps someone else, perhaps not, I don’t know) is claiming that Jon is “going broke” since he hasn’t held a steady job since the end of ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8.’
This is going to get ugly. These poor kids.
Well, with all this going on, I bet Kate isn’t even paying attention to Jimmy Fallon’s imitation of her dancing. Check out the clip after the break:

Between Kate’s sucktacular dancing, Jon’s superdouchiness along with their mutual famewhoring, it’s amazing if their kids won’t appear on any shows on E!
It doesn’t matter who’s the villain, my concern is for those kids.
I think the importance is that those children are no longer left with Nannies. What is wrong with thes people. A working mom is a mom that leaves in the morning and is back by 6:00 like I do. An absentee mom is one that leaves Monday and comes back Sunday. She has admitted of leaving for weeks at a time. When she leaves for days she should make Jon go watch the kids.
What a loser. I feel bad for the children.

This isn’t about him being a good father. This is about money, period. He’s scraping the bottom of the pool now and he’s trippin.
I highly doubt that Jon Gosselin even wants custody. This is part of a ploy on his attorney’s part to have the child support payment issue revisited. Jon is a low life but $20,000 per month does seem like an awfully high amount and he did have very poor legal representation.
That being said, Kate should not have to pay him a dime. He can find employment of some sort that does not violate his TLC settlement. With respect to Kate, if she worked in nursing, her former profession, she’d be away from the kids even more than she currently is. Her current employment gives her a lot of flexibility with her schedule.
Finally, there is the famewhore issue. I think that term is now attached to everyone who gains some notoriety. I think that a vast majority of us might enjoy some fame and monetary perks. Also, the Snookies of the world have a finite amount of time in which they can earn some significant sums of money. Their time ends when they are no longer economically viable. It’s the beauty of capitalism. To me the famewhores are the ones who don’t go away quietly when their time is up.

this is totally just for show, they’ve been out of the spotlight for a couple months and now they’re itching for the attention again. these two need serious therapy
They are both addicted to fame. They must keep their name and face in the spotlight or they think life will not be worth living. They have both become famewhores…
Kate should be thanking Jon for giving her an excuse to blame for her horrendous dancing. She can now save face and say it was because she was distracted with his attempt to get the kids from her. kate is not present with the kids even when she is at home and if she were half the mom she tell us she is, the kids would be allowed to spend more time with the father they love.
I think Jon is broke and he will sacrifice his free time to spend with his children to get some extra cash from Kate. He is a lowlife and he looks so bored when he is with his kids, I feel terrible for them because Jon and Kate are not the ones that are being broken by this, they are…. and the funny thing is, there was a point in time that they loved each other…. and I think that they have lost sight of what is ultimately important.
Just when you thought the guy couldn’t be more of an a-hole. Her and the kids are better off without this loser. I hope the judge can see that his just doing this for personal gain and not the wellfair of the kids. How sad!!!
Well, the source from her camp IS right: this is an offence to any working woman… I cannot even phathom the kids future if they were to be raised by Jon…
