Rihanna was rushed to hospital after performing in Switzerland on Monday night.
The singer played a sold-out concert in Zurich but after leaving the Hallenstadion venue just after midnight she was taken to the Hirslanden private clinic via a blacked-out Mercedes.
The 22-year-old pop star was then quickly escorted into the accident and emergency department by her driver, bodyguard and assistant to be treated for a mystery ailment. My guess is exhaustion.
Alenka Ambroz, head of the clinic’s corporate communications, told Blick:
“Rihanna arrived at the accident and emergency unit. We’re not going to give any details.”
She left the hospital at around 2.55am, over two and a half hours after being admitted, and was taken back to the venue. She must have recovered because Rihanna took the stage in Lyon, France last night.
These tour schedules KNOCK OUT singers, don’t they? These companies have to remember that the stars are SINGERS. Yes, they will make more money if they cram in more shows… but at what price? Thank goodness Rihanna is ok.
UPDATE:
The singer was being treated for an injured rib.
“had an injured rib and went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn’t,” her rep tells PEOPLE.
“All is okay and the tour is going great.”

Well we don’t know if it was exhaustion or not, it was just a suggestion. Hopefully she is alright.
It’s not the concerts that knock them out. It’s the excessive and constant need to be in the public eye. Let’s face it, RiRi is a gorgeous girl, but her singing and dancing abilities are scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam–for 20 years have had more concerts than ANY of these lip synching fakes today–they have and still leave the stage carrying each other dripping sweat and high fiving–ready for the next nights show…tell me these choreographed robots today give that kind of effort—exhaustion–spare me.

Vera, it’s their job to go on tour. Yes, they’re human and their grueling tour schedule can lead to exhaustion, but they get right back up and go back to work because that’s what they’re paid to do.
I got a feeling that someone else was responsible for breaking RiRi’s ribs. just saying.
