Adriana Lima Says Losing Baby Weight "Was Easy"

Adriana Lima Says Losing Baby Weight "Was Easy"

I'm not going to hate on her... because her definition of "easy" is working out everyday for 2 hours - sometimes TWICE A DAY. That's not so EASY if you ask me. ;)

Adriana Lima gave birth to her daughter Valentina 6 months ago and is already back to shape. When asked how she did it while attending the 3rd Annual Aerospace High Performance Championships in NYC this week, the model said

"It wasn't that bad. It was easy."

But here's the rest of the quote. How often did she work out?

"Everyday," she said. "Often I come twice in one day! It can be anywhere from one hour to...two hours," doing boxing, jump rope and other high-impact cardio routines.

Adriana also admitted that she is watching what she's eating and focusing on "good, nutritious food." So, I guess it's EASY because that's the life you have to live if you are a Victoria's Secret model.

She is SOOO lying!! I think she is beautiful and looks great now, BUT she is not the same as she was before having her baby! She was much thinner, TOO thin actually in my opinion. I dont know why these woman act like superheores and try to down play things. Diet and exercise 2 times a day IS hard work and FAR from easy.

I know, right?! people are gonna call me a bitch for this, but she's not back to her pre-baby body. Take a picture of her and Gisele and then you'll see the difference, you can't tell with these all in black, nighttime pictures.

Nothing like a seven figure income for sitting around in underpants to motivate you into working out for two hours a day. If that was all I had to do, I would call it easy too. Someone doing your hair and makeup isn't work. I've done it, it isn't any different from going to the spa and paying to have it done. Only, they pay you. Now it is work? right.....

Starving and working out 2 hours a day would cause anyone to gain weight. I bet she balloons when the modeling days end.

She's still pretty but her face looks different since having the baby. I agree that she's also not as skinny as she was before.

Of course it's easy to lose the weight when you have the time, money, and resources to workout 1-2 times a day for a few hours each. But in the real world most moms don't have the time to do that. They have full time jobs to eventually get back too rather than having small jobs here and there and making millions of dollars. They don't have a nanny to watch the baby while they workout or extra money laying around to hire a personal trainer. I am not a mom yet but I have sisters and friends who are new moms and it's not easy. It bugs me when celebrities say how easy it is to lose the weight or how easy motherhood. Yes we know it's easy for you, but it's far from easy for normal people.

must be nice to have someone to watch your kid for up to 4 hours a day so you can work out. Real moms don't have that luxury... I guess that's why it's not so "easy" to lose the baby weight for the rest of us.

I'm a real mom - my kid naps for 3+ hours a day so I work out for 2 of them. It's priorities.

She also said she stuck to a no carb, all protein diet. Guess she didn't breastfeed. That's sad, it was more important to lose weight than to spend time with and nourish her baby in the first months of life. What's sadder is that her baby was several weeks premature and weighed 4 pounds. Her priorities are effed up.

LMAO! I got back to my pre baby weight in two weeks. Adriana took sis months.

It didn't take me long to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and shape but that's because for 1 I was 17 and in shape and for 2 I had time during the day to work out.
Now that I have a full time job and would rather spend the time with my child than in the gym I don't have a great body. If you have the option for that lifestyle and looking good is your job then of course you're going to spend lots of time in the gym. For normal working moms that's just not an option.

Breast feeding is the best way to get back in shape. It totally sucks the fat off you and makes your tummy contract and shrink.

To the "real mom" who says that her child naps for 3+ hours a day so she exercises for 2 of them... Are you a "real mom"... really? One whose hormones feel like a science experiment in her body and makes her so tired. One who also feels tired because the baby gets up 2 or 3 times in the middle of the night. Really, you are a "real mom" who has time to exercise while the baby naps for + hours a day. And when your baby naps it's for 2 hour blocks of time? Or you just keep the treadmill next to the crib so you can jog for 30 minutes here and 40 minutes there and 20 minutes here. And you really have nothing else to catch up on while the baby naps. No work that went unfinished because you had to care for the baby? It's about more than priorities. Most moms try to nap when their babies nap because that's all the rest you are going to get... and being tired means you cannot get up in the middle of the night like you'll have to do tonight.

I lost all the baby WEIGHT and then some within two months (via breastfeeding), but the extra skin is still there and I have more "womanly" curves. Although breastfeeding helped with getting rid of all the weight, I don't look as thin as I did prior to pregnancy.
