Katy Perry Wants Small Wedding, Big Reception

Katy Perry chatted with People and gave up a few more wedding details. The singer says they’re trying to keep the ceremony small and also shares some details on wedding dresses and locations!

“I think [the wedding] will be small, I always have a ton of people around me and I think the people that are going to share this moment with us are the people we want to integrate into each other’s lives.”

Even though the ceremony will be intimate, the reception will be a whole other story. Katy says she is planning:

“a big, fat reception for the people who can’t make it,” Perry says.

The couple have been talking to John Galliano about her dress because his fashion show was the first time they went public as a couple.

“So if we did Galliano, it would make it full circle.”

Katy always imagined that she’d be married in her hometown of Santa Barbara, but she’s leaning toward someplace a little different:

“We don’t necessarily want it to be a drunk fest of people just, you know, one night and then forgetting about it,” she says. “We want it to be about the love. So sometimes to be about the love, we have to take them out of their comfort zone.”

I think these two are working hard to keep the location a secret and I don’t blame them one bit!! I’m really anxious to see if Katy goes traditional with her dress or leans more toward her fun, funky style. I’m guessing Russell will wear cowboy boots with his suit.

Katy was snapped today as she headed to the gym – a girl’s gotta stay fit for that wedding dress.
