Um – when did the Miss USA pageant start resembling a Maxim photoshoot? Check out the new headshots for each of the state representatives for the upcoming competition. I mean – some of these photos are really provocative. I guess sex sells and ratings are down. A network’s gotta do what a network’s gotta do?
But doesn’t this take away from the integrity of the title? I thought they were all about keeping things PG and proper? Be sure to click on some of the girl’s pictures to get the full effect of what I’m talking about – like Miss Hawaii here.
What’s your take on the new Miss USA direction?
Well it used to be about smart, moral, hardworking, goal oriented women who wanted to be role models to young girls…but like everything else in the world it has turned into trash…..modesty, decentsy, and morality is a thing of the past for most people I believe.
Are you kidding? It was always about looks and sex. They just covered it up with the whole “we are looking for smart, moral, hardworking, goal- oriented” women thing. At least they are getting rid of the lying part.

Is this really that shocking after we found out that state pageants pay for contestant breast augmentations?? Pageants have always been questionable, now they’re tacky too.
Nobody really cares about these pageants anymore, so they have to resort to this?

One the one hand, I think the photos are gorgeous, but on the other hand, Miss USA is supposed to represent wholesome women.

I agree. It’s a little hypocritical that some former contestants faced “scandal” over racy pictures and now they are being encouraged…. I realize some of the scandal pics were REALLY bad, but still….
just” looks” & just say what people wanna hear.

Considering that they have taken the crown off previous winners because of their sexy shots it seems a bit hypercritical!!! But honestly Miss USA should really be named Miss Plastic Surgery!! Most of these woman are fake from their hair extensions to their fake tanned toes….
