Heidi Montag, 23, is seeking a restraining order against her mother, Darlene, after she made a surprise visit to her L.A.-area home. Heidi tells TMZ.com,
My mom [Darlene Egelhoff] just showed up to the house unannounced… and after what she did to me on national TV, I have no desire to see her,”
Heidi is of course referring to her mother’s reaction to her many plastic surgeries. The reality star continued,
Her showing up is completely out of line and psychotic,” Heidi says. “I’m getting a restraining order against her.”
Her poor mother! She must be desperate to get through to her daughter. Maybe she’s trying to convince her not to get more plastic surgery. With this group who knows what the real story is though.

On legal grounds, I don’t think she can get a restraining order just because her mother has been a little bit too frank (on tv or otherwise). Being frank is not a criminal offense and it does not jeopardize Heidi’s safety. With all the efforts that she’s put into looking good to end up making silly claims against her mother, you’d hope she’d spend the same amount of efforts making a brain more functional.
Plus we all must admit that if you can’t recognize your daughter … it’s legitimate to be shocked. I think that is a diva fit or a Spencer Pratt’s strategy to get more press out of Heidi’s cleavage. He probably calls it return on investment.
I thought restraining orders only applied to someone who had physically harmed you. I don’t know California’s laws but somehow I can not picture a judge granting a RO against a parent for stopping by to visit unless there were some history of abuse. Maybe Heidi’s next procedure should be having a brain implanted into that empty head of hers.
How in the world is showing up announced grounds for a restraining order? This is certainly Spencer’s doing. Heidi is in the palm of his hand it’s sickening.

How long ago was the scene taped before it aired? She could have said to MTV she didn’t want it to be shown on TV, I’m sure something could have been done. She wanted this drama now she has to live with it. She didnt start with a great canvas anyway you can’t expect Heidi Klum when you start out as Mr. Ed.
She’s just looking for a reason to stay relevant. The point of the show is suppose to be “reality” (even though it’s not) so she cant get mad when something real finally happens.

My parents used to drop in all the time. No big deal. Her mother is not psychotic just a concerned mother. Spencer has her so under his thumb and he is the psychotic one with an anger issue. Heidi needs to get away from him before he really flies off the handle and hurts her physically. Abuse just escalates. I know from experience.

Last I check, in order to get a restraining order you need documented proof of abuse of some kind. Being too honest doesn’t exactly fall under that category, nor does showing up unannounced. Imagine what it would be like if we could get restraining orders just because we feel like it. She’s a moron.

Heidi’s Mom was honest because Heidi asked. It was on National TV because Heidi lives her life on TV. She is the one who brought the cameras to her Mothers house! I used to blame it all on Spencer, but it’s been so long & gone too far. Heidi has a mind of her own. She’s an ungrateful brat! Her family loves her & she got along with them great until

Her mother reacted the same way any mother would after seeing her beautiful daughter going from original and the way god made her, to some plastic looking alien. And I don’t know how the judges are in CA but in IL they are not going to give you are a restraining order just because she dropped by unannounced. lol I think Heidi needs to cut the strings that Spencer is using to control her.
Instead of investing her money on plastic surgery (which by the way looks terrible) she should be investing in therapy. She desperately needs it. This is one messed up chick.
Granted her mother could have used better words to describe what she’s done to herself, but I’m sure she’s a much better influence in Heidi’s life than Spencer. He’s nothing but a leach and low life. He is beyond help.
