‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ star Michael Douglas admitted during interviews at Cannes that he wasn’t sure if his young co-star, Shia LaBeouf, had the acting chops to pull off his part of Jacob “Jake” Moore.
“We were not sure he had the chops. As you remember from the first, Charlie Sheen carried the movie, Gordon Gekko had very colorful parts, but it was not every scene.”
WHAT! They doubted Shia?! Well, I guess his roles in ‘Transformers’ and even ‘Indiana Jones’ didn’t require stellar acting skills, did they?
I’m sure Shia proved them wrong, though
Here they are at the Cannes photo call for ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.’ Carey Mulligan looks great, doesn’t she? I think this is the best I’ve ever seen her look.

Michael is turning into a grumpy old man.
He is right on! Go watch the original ‘Wall Street’–it is a classic and the best movie ever made–there is no sequel without Charlie Sheen–there is no need for a Teen Beat jerkoff in this movie.
Michael Douglas is such an arrogant man.
Shia certainly does have the chops to carry a movie, you just need to watch A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints, he held his own along side Dianne Wiest and Chazz Palminteri.
Carey looks amazing, I love her dress and shoes but they shouldn’t be paired together. She should have worn a nude pump.
