Some exciting changes are underway for season 2 of Jessica Simpson’s reality/documentary show ‘The Price of Beauty’. According to sources close to the project, they show will focus more on makeovers and image than on Jessica traveling the globe. According to Us magazine:
A VH1 spokesperson said, “We are here to stay with Jessica and are committed to this journey and this message with her about women, self image, etc. all through Jessica’s totally unique and unfiltered lens. We are really excited about the next step, which we will announce soon and will air on VH1 in 2011.”
Did you watch Jessica’s show? Do you think it will have the same feel if she’s not traveling around to learn about the differences in beauty rituals, etc. in different cultures?

Waste of time and energy!!!
I watched the first episode. It was stupid. I won’t even waste my time with the 2nd season. Jessica Simpson is a ditz, therefore the show will be ditzy. Nothing changes with Jessica Simpson. She is still the same moron she always was, and will always be.
Had a hard time watching the 1st one – I would give it another chance – I can’t help -it I like her – always rooting for her – I wish she would come out with some girly anthem songs like Kelly Clarkson -her shoes are amazing btw

I watched the first season and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. The most entertaining parts were of the different cultures and how much Jessica Simpson insulted them all while meeting different people from the culture. haha.
The second season if they are going to focus more on make overs will be unbearable.

Was not interesting. I’ve been to Morocco. Jessica had no class. Wearing short as an ugly American. Learn the culture before you go into a country. You asked for an opinion and when they told you a straight answer, about showing your legs you gave a very defensive answer about cleavage. What show was this? Words of war?
This just shows how uneducated you are about class and culture. Not worth my time watching this show!
I think they have to change the format bc if she wants this to be a regular series it would be exhausting for her to be constantly travelling to other countries.

I watch it and she was fun to watch. She’s graceful. Her friends were cool too. I’ll watch the 2nd season.

Out of curiousity I watched some of her first series on Youtube. I really enjoyed it, although she is a bit ditzy, she’s fun and I liked it all in all. I’d give her 2nd one a try. Gotta be better than those ‘reality’ shows, ie hills, city and kardisans surely.
I gotta admit she and her friend were a little dizzy but oh well they are just having fun, I enjoyed the show and I will definitely stick around for a second season I just hope she is as involved in the makeovers as in the 1st season.
I saw a couple of episodes, i was pretty disppointed though they were still light fun. I think the new format might work better, she and her crew are prob more equipped to deal with makeovers and other stuff in their own country than exploring the world. I feel practically anyone could’ve gotten the same out of the people they met during the trip that they got out. And i didn’t learn anything new.
