According to TMZ, Lindsay Lohan is about to face a lawsuit. An LA boutique called Tough as Nails (which sells expensive clothes, jewelry, and accessories) alleges Lindsay shopped at the store between November 2009 and February 2010 and racked up a $17,060.83 bill. The store claims Lindsay said her manager would settle the bill.
… [M]uch to the chagrin of the owners, Lindsay’s business manager paid a grand total of $180.
The suit, which will be filed in L.A. County Superior Court, alleges Lindsay “had no intention of causing her business manager to pay the entire balance.”
And there’s this — the suit claims the boutique owners relied on Lindsay’s “well known status as a movie actress with substantial income.”
Okay. I know businesses do this, but I have to ask: WHY? If any customer can’t afford to pay you when they buy (on a credit card or whatever), then why would you let them walk out of the store with your merchandise?
If this is true, then hopefully Lindsay will just take care of the bill. This is the LAST thing she needs to be bothered with!

I think Lindsay is the last person I’d allow to even walk INTO my store, let alone out of it with merchandise without paying. Second would be Renee Zellweger.
A lot of stores let celebs pay their bill after they leave the store. The store owners just want to make the celebs happy so that they will continue to shop there. DUH! And Lindsay hair looks disgusting.
