It’s no secret that Eminem has a rocky past. But I’m glad he lets that motivate him, rather than bring him down. The rapper says that when he needs inspiration, he drives back to his old neighborhood in Detroit and takes some time to reflect on his childhood memories.
“It may sound corny, but I’ll go by and try to remember how things were when I was in those houses.
“I’ll go back and remember… how life was back then. How much of a struggle it was. As time goes by, you might get content and forget things.”
I love that he hasn’t lost his grip on reality and seems to know how good he has it!
