Want To See ‘Sex And The City 3′? Don’t Hold Your Breath…

This is according to ‘Sex and the City’ star Kristin Davis. Apparently, she doesn’t think a third installment is likely due to the disappointing performance of ‘Sex and the City 2′ last spring.

“We made 300 million(dollars) internationally. … There was so much hype, not coming from us, but the media hyped it up and then they tore it down,” she tells E!

“I don’t think so, not that I know of. … I wish it was so that we were continuing but I don’t know.”

Kristin admitted there was no “official word” one way or the other, but she doesn’t think it’s likely.

That seems SO unfair! At $300 million I bet the movie turned a profit. Why should expectations be so important?

Do you want to see a third ‘Sex and the City’ movie, or do you think it’s time to let the franchise end and just enjoy it on DVD?

A third movie would be nice to help forget the awful second one…. get back on track with the stories about the characters and their lifes, just like in the series that we all loved! There should be enough material there about women 40+ living in the “post-financial-crisis” NY of today.
Just please forget the completely brainless, plotless, unrealistic, stupid and boring fashion & travel advertizing circus that they put in the 2nd movie instead of a storyline…

well it’s always awesome no matter what. I mean i don’t think the second was bad at all. They’ve been in NY thw entire series and the first movie. let them out. i think the second movie made their lives more realistic cos ppl gotta move or travel sometimes. only staying in NY would be boring and unrealistic!

I loved it, they had better make a 3rd movie…… chil out everyone, the women were fab in it, ok there were flaws but come on…… I love seeing them all together x.

I won’t say that the second movie was terrible or bad, but it didn’t have that spark one usually feels when they see the tv-show or the first movie. I agree, no storyline, but it wasn’t all that bad, I went to go see it twice at the movies. =) I loved the first one!

Hope to see the 3rd movie come out soon! I think it would be amazing for them to make another Sex and the City Movie.

Hey come on, Carrie and Big has no babies yet!

I fell that a 3rd sex and the city would be redundint as the 2nd one did not leave much for them to work with. I also felt that after the first one with all of the nudity and sex what happened in the 2nd one.

I love Sex n the city!!!! Forget all the negative comments n please make a third movie! I will love to see it n I know tons of women who will love to see it n are waiting for it.

I was disappointed in the second movie – mostly because the stuff in Abu Dhabi was just so over the top and there was barely any New York. But, I would still give it another chance if they came out with a third one. I’m a huge fan of the show and I can forgive them one bad movie…. :)

I never saw the second movie so I can’t say it sucks cause I don’t know the truth. But you couldn’t have paid me to see it and I loved the series. Just kill it. It was a great show I can see how the first movie was a nice happy ending that some viewers needed (not me, I couldn’t watch the whole thing) but just let it go!

the second movie was terrible, it was all fluff, no story line. if they made a 3rd movie and made it well, it’d be a good way for them to end the francise on a high note

The first movie was terrific. The second movie was just awful….embarrassingly bad.

The second one was great, better than the first, even. So men didn’t like it, so what? It wasn’t for them.

  15. Anonymous says:

I totally agree with that! Great, fun, beautiful movie…and by the way, even my husband enjoyed the experience ;)

  16. Anonymous says:

Well, seeing as how the second movie took away the city and most of the sex, I can’t imagine what they would do with a third one. Let it die already, they’ve already killed everything that made the series awesome.

THANK THE GODS!!!!! They are listening to me!!

Oh, I liked the second one! I thought it was cute, better than the first one (if not quite Citizen Kane). I’m a fan though, I’m pretty invested in the characters. I would be delighted to shell out $10 every couple of years for a movie, until they hit Golden Girls age and hopefully return to television.

I wouldn’t watch another Sex and the City movie AT ALL!! Not even if I was paid. I thought that the 1st movie was marginal, but the second one was horrendous! I looved the show, but I think that the “fabulous-ness” of the “brand” is completely gone. Unfortunatley :-(
