Mark Wahlberg was honored with a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame today. Mark’s wife, Rhea Durham, and their children Ella (6), Grace (6 months), Michael (4) and Brendan (1) were at his side to celebrate with him.
Mark has been acting since 1993; his first movie role was in Renaissance Man. Of course, he was famous long before that because of his music and modeling for Calvin Klein.
Will Ferrell also showed up to his support his ‘The Other Guys’ co-star.
Mark’s star is # 2414.
Even though his kids are so young, it’s a wonderful thing for them to see their dad receive this honor. I’m sure his family and friends are proud of him. It must be a little surreal to be a part of the Walk of Fame.

If he had to apply and pay for a star then he doesn’t deserve a star, it’s fake.

You actually have to BUY your star and apply for one. And he is the type to do that for attention.

Wow, there are tons of well respected, very good actors/actresses who have stars . . . I guess we can just say that ALL of them are media whores? Sorry, but he doesn’t appear to be the type who is looking just for attention. I mean, unless you plan on never leaving your house, or being out in public, then I guess you can be thought of as not looking for attention, but sometimes you just have to leave your house, LOL.
That means that there are NO valid stars on the Walk at all!!! It has ALWAYS been “apply & pay.”
Uh, let’s see…they conceived when the older child was 9 months old, and presto, a new baby arrives 9 months later. It’s not rocket science. Geez!
Good for him! He has shown long ago that he can act & isn’t just a pretty face in Calvins (good lawd he was hot in those) His family is gorgeous – Hi-5!
I didn’t see anyone busting on Drew Barrymore or Johnny Depp when they got theirs. Does this mean George Burns, Betty Davis, & Billie Holiday are unworthy & not valid??
I’m surprised he had the time to attend since he is reportedly (ahem by M Lohan!! LOL) busy saving Lindsay….LOL LOL LOL
