For the second year in a row Shia LaBeouf was at the top of the Forbes list “Hollywood’s Best Actors For The Buck”. Here’s how the numbers are figured:
We crunched the numbers using salaries, box-office earnings and film budgets. The result: an average profit number for every $1 the studio paid the actor.
Who is helping to make the studios big money? Here’s the top 10 list:
1. Shia LaBeouf $81
2. Anne Hathaway $64
3. Daniel Radcliffe $61
4. Robert Downey Jr. $33
5. Cate Blanchett $27
6. Jennifer Aniston $21
7. Meryl Streep $21
8. Johnny Depp $18
9. Nicolas Cage $17
10. Sarah Jessica Parker $17
I was a little shocked that Johnny Depp wasn’t higher up that list, with “Alice In Wonderland’s” huge haul along with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, but his paycheck is significantly higher than the others, so it brings his “score” down. And if Daniel Radcliffe made the list, you’d think Emma Watson and Rupert Grint would be almost tied with him since they all reportedly earn the same amount of the same movies?
I’m thinking Shia needs to ask for a raise!

gee if jennifer aninston movie is a flop then why is she in the top 10 bringing in the big bucks??? she’s #6. angelina or brad is not even on the list…HA!! I can’t believe Shia is #1 though.
It just shows that actors Jolie are so over paid; The Bounty Hunter cost under 40mill and made $150 mill world wide; Salt cost $110 million to make and as of Aug 30th has made $113 million world wide……..do the math
That list is going to fluctuate a ton from year to year. Box office is a crude measure of star power anyhow–you’d need to compare a movie’s take with what it would have been with a different star or no star.
Shia and Daniel Radcliffe may be huge movie stars in the future, but it’s hard to tell right now between the Transformers, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter movies. All those movies would probably do just as well with a different (competent) star.
that’s interesting, wonder why R. Pattz didn’t make it, Twilight is such a huge franchise
