Ashton Kutcher is not one bit amused by Star Magazine’s story that broke today, accusing him of cheating on wife Demi Moore. Ashton took to his Twitter account and it sounds like he’s lawyering up.
I think Star magazine calling me a “cheater” qualifies as defamation of character. I hope my lawyer agrees.
STAR magazine – you don’t get to stand behind “freedom of the press” when you are writing fiction.
You would think in this age of celebrities suing for false stories that some of these mags like Enquirer and Star would stop printing the more outlandish ones?

I would hope that they wouldn’t print something so damaging without absolute proof. But who knows. Those magazines are so incredibly slimy.
If the person who said that Ashton did lip locked with some other girl, he/she should have a picture of it. Or any inkling evidence that Ashton did something like that. Apparently, there’s no other evidence other than what was just said. And the real deal about magazines is that they often put fictional headlines on the cover to sell. That’s the truth.
If 2 different witnesses claim it, then Star may have a legal case (I think?). Maybe there’s an Ashton lookalike running around.
Assuming the rumors are baseless, Ashton’s doing the right thing by taking legal action though–if everyone printed such things constantly, it’d be bound to wear down Demi’s trust and their marriage.
